  • Why Fred is in the advertisements for a Chevelle song is beyond me..

  • Grenadeh all your comments I agree with, however....why are ALL the comments on this video by you? Seriously, monologues are not what one should be posting on song videos.

  • My favorite part is the stabbing triangle going on. You're stabbing me through you, you're stabbing you through him, and betting most of this world. Eat your heart out Heavens Gate and other suicide pacters - bet your shit wasn't as cool as a three way stabtriangle illustrated by the badassery of Chevelle.

  • No. Rock and metal is not being forgotten. The problem is that MTV and morons across the world and country have ruined music. You have no one to blame but yourselves. People listen to noise - not music.Lil wayne, Katy Perry, Kesha, all that nonsense. I am not saying I haven't listened to them or can't appreciate them but they took real music off the market and subjugated it back to the underground where it kind of belongs. Rock is still majorly mainstream though,

  • LISTEN TO METAL!!! if we dont and our kids keeps listening to rap and pop then when they are our age rock will be...extinct!

    btw Chevelle fuckin rocks.

  • @volcomsk8er1317 I am not saying Chevelle is the best band ever but you can't, you just can't, listen to this song, or this CD, and then listen to pure shit like Justin Beiber, and tell me this isn't fucking amazing. The electric guitar is the most important instrument ever - moreso than even the piano, that's right I said it.

  • @volcomsk8er1317 If for no other reason, I plan to have kids so I can do m y part to preserve what little good exists in our culture. They will listen to good bands - Metallica, Dio, Iced Earth, Megadeth, Alestorm, In Flames, Chimaira, Johnny Cash, Chevelle, Rise Against, etc. I will be a failure as a parent if they don't appreciate this music more than most of the music of their own time.

  • wish I was the skeleton in the trees!

  • This song never gets old.

  • @Trazosable You know what is truly sad? Comparing groups like Escape The Fate and the Goo Goo Dolls to Chevelle. Damn, I think I am going to be sick.

  • @124drewdown He was trying to make a point. He wasn't comparing. lrn2read.

I'm going to be sick at your stupidity.

  • @124drewdown youre absolutely right.. chevelle its on another level. way high!

  • Why are all the comments suddenly directed to me...?

  • I can't believe someone on a chevelle thread said kesha can sing. Go f your sister.

  • :) loo max chevelle :P

  • nice

  • rise against will not die

    or be forgotten

  • @uprising43 Nope, they'll just complain about something new and become popular again.

  • You're all tools. Music is a passion not a business. Want proof?

Look at Local H. They're music is amazing enough to be HUGE.

But they prefer to do it locally and for the thrill rather than the money

Stuff that in your pipes and smoke it.

    Fucking tools.

  • @kargath101

    dude you are so right..

  • @kargath101 Why not make money doing what you love?

  • cant wait till they come to saint louis <3

  • chorus owns

  • this is there best song i dont know what tops this

  • @88AIRBORN Forfeit is close

  • @88AIRBORN Sleep Apnea.

  • no top comment?

  • i think its almost impossible for rock to die. the core of the genre is about being a little bit different and experimental. just like indie and even dubstep. music genres arent like people.

  • We can't both become the same pawn that's made to fall. = awesome!

  • love this song btw

  • @jacketnipple By the way, ProStyle name

  • @Trazosable my name is prostyle

  • radioaktive18 needs to shut his fucking mouth

  • @jacketnipple I'm pretty sure he was reffering to the fact that people are forgetting about rock...? you guys got him all wrong. And I agree. It's kinda sad. Rock Is Dying. Bands Like Escape The Fate, Chevelle, Rise Against, Coldplay, Goo goo dolls, Or even like METALLICA (Yeah they're metal so what you get the damn point) are being forgotten... It's Sad...

  • @Trazosable EtF use to be good.. now its pathetic

  • @Trazosable Rock will NEVER die!

  • @ybz2207 To be honest, i'd prefer rock to be a smaller liked community, less fags, less retards, and you feel more like you're in an exclusive club that only BADASSES can be in. :D

  • @EliteDarknessScyther I disagree. Music is a gift, and gifts are given freely. Just cause a slow kid likes the same songs as you doesn't mean you should feel slow by association, provided you aren't a mindless follower of those beliefs. Think, then act. Not vice versa.

  • @Nurriek When most of the populace likes a certain type of music, it becomes mainstream. When it becomes mainstream it's not good anymore because it's not real (as in it's autotuned, written by other artists), the artists only care about image and popularity/money, etc. Mainstream music is NOT the way to go in my opinion. So I disagree with YOU, sir.

  • @EliteDarknessScyther No, that is the artists choice, not the products popularity. You have to realize that these artists are in the business of popularity. They are doing this to make money. So to say that popularity is a bad thing, in a business of popularity is folly. When most of the populace likes a certain type of music, the artists make the choice to produce a certain way to stay popular. If you don't enjoy it, that is one thing, but the artists in question will always put profit first.

  • @Nurriek That's a moot point seeing as I'm not talking about why they do it. I'm saying it gets done, so I don't stay with them when they become mainstream. In my opinion, mainstream music is bad, for the reasons I already listed. You're trying to prove me wrong when you really can't, because I'm just stating my opinion.

  • @EliteDarknessScyther No, Saying "It is bad" is a statement, not an opinion. An opinion is "It isn't to my taste." Because you are clearly stating your personal tastes. Outright saying "it is bad" is a statement of fact, in which case, you are wrong, because it is listenable, and enjoyable. A lot of mainstream music today is. Furthermore, My point previously was that a song becoming popular does not immediately make it bad because a talented artist will use the new tools they acquire creatively.

  • @Nurriek Now you're just being a smartass. And you're really telling me that Kesha is a good artist when all she does is auto-tunes her disgusting, sexist, lyrics that make girls think they should be strung out hoes on the street to high hell? She's mainstream and she is definitely "not to my tastes".

  • @EliteDarknessScyther Okay, I am on the same boat as you there. Kesha is a very poor example of todays "mainstream". But the point I am making is that she herself actually can sing and can perform, as she has proven in the song "Right Round" by Flo Rida. She is the female lyrics on the song and is unautotuned. My point is that music is that not all mainstream music is bad, and you're being extremely close minded by stating that it is. If it is enjoyable, people will listen to it, and if (con't)

  • @Nurriek You stop listening to someone simply because they're "too popular" you're a tool.

  • @Nurriek I don't stop listening to bands simply because they're "too popular". I stop listening to them because when they become extremely popular, their music, in my opinion, becomes worse. I've already told you this.

  • @EliteDarknessScyther You can't say that you don't listen to people when they become "Extremely popular" without saying they're "Too Popular." At any rate, I disagree with your entire concept of what makes good music. In my experience with it, People who are popular are just as capable of bad music as people who aren't and popularity doesn't affect this. The "Chinese Democracy" Album by Guns N' Roses Proves this. Is Guns N' Roses Awesome? Yes. Was "Chinese Democracy" any good? Ups and downs.

  • @Trazosable But then, theres also the fact that a lot of bands today don't show the same potential that they did. Rock was on top because the people in rock, collectively, were brilliant... And on drugs... But that isn't the point. While there are still some brilliant minds in rock, like Chevelle, Its like a tapped spring. It is only a matter of time before we must find our water elsewhere.

  • @Trazosable U say being Forgotten but i think that's why it's up to the fans to spread the world that a new world order is in store. It's Rock N Roll forever :D check out my video's for some good rock music adding another one in in a day or so

  • @Trazosable The reason what we consider real rock is being forgotten is that most people don't understand music, and would rather listen to a 2 second repeated beat and someone who sings a tenth as good as most rock singers.

  • @777Sir Ultimately, if a genre is being forgotten, thats because no one listens to it anymore. Of course, while the integrity of each genre is entirely based on opinion, I think bands like this are great, and I'll probably listen to them for the rest of my life, which is exactly why rock won't die. Because as long as people can make money off something, they will. And who said corporations were evil?... They totally are... But still.

  • @777Sir I really have no room to talk, I myself like some rap, some hip hop, and other genres of music. I personally think Wax (He's a rapper, if you hate rap, check him out I hated rap till I heard him) is brilliant. The genre doesn't change the level of skill or creativity, and I think, as rockers, we are really no better than the rest of the world if we keep saying that all other genres are shit. Let's be honest, they're popular for a reason, whether we like it or not.

  • @Trazosable Chevelle is alternative, and Rise Against is a genre of what can only be called "Bitching for no reason" where their entire career is based around complaining about things NON-STOP. I mean, beleive me, I think the vocalist is amazing, the riffs sound great, but dude! You don't have to complain in every single song! I'd move on to other bands, especially METALLICA... But that would start a flame war, because their fans are convinced that anything they shit out is golden.

  • @InfiniteBlack45 You call it bitching, I call it truth. And whether you agree or not is not of my concern.

  • @Trazosable "Oh no! America is so bad! And we gotta help the enviroment! Oh and soldiers do fucked up things!" Wow! Such a powerful message... You know, it'd really carry more weight if they weren't just COMPLAINING about the same shit EVERYBODY else is. Now don't misunderstand, as i said, they are very talented, I do enjoy their songs but god, some songs are almost as much of a enviromental kick in the teeth as James Cameron's Avatar, minus the giant smurf sex.

  • @InfiniteBlack45 The day someone writes a GOOD, TRUTHFUL song about all the GOOD things that the US has, I will gladly donate $1000000 to them... Good luck finding enough good things about the country to write a song using them

  • @Trazosable That is ALOT OF ZEROS! ... Damnit, now I'm going to have to go take guitar lessons... Nah, but please don't misunderstand. The U.S. has many issues, but when a band is entirely based around it. I've heard some more recent stuff that, as far as I could tell, wasn't all protesting one thing or another... But you never know... It could be just want they WANTED me to think...

  • @InfiniteBlack45 The way I see it. They 'complain' about things that are real and that are obviously wrong. That's the reality behind their songs. They are true. I would consider bands in the genre of Of Mice And Men, or A Day To remember (Not those bands specifically) to be more of a complaint than Rise Against will ever be. That "I'm done with life no one understands me" bull shit is the second thing I hate the most in a person (Right behind close-mindedness).

  • @Trazosable I find if you don't read too far into the lyrics and stop being close-minded, which is what you're doing, you will find Rise Against and A Day to Remember to actually be very good. I absolutely love Rise Against, and I am by no means a huge "hardcore" or whatever the fuck it is fan. Or Punk or whatever nondescript terms you kids use these days. All I know is I like them.

  • @Trazosable u forgot thrice D:<

  • @epicguy1231000 That's cause I don't know them, I guess I'll check it out

  • @Trazosable Coldplay? Are you fucking serious?

  • @TroIIn Yes I happen to love Coldplay, in fact they are probably my second favorite band. To be honest your opinion doesn't really matter to me.

  • @Trazosable Well that is just awful.

    Clearly a u2 ripoff.

  • @TroIIn I happen to not like U2, however they have admitted that U2 is their biggest influence. A rip off? Nowhere close. But keep believing that, I can't say that I care

  • @Trazosable i got a plan, why dont people learn how to play instruments and make a band! so there would be more rockers out there?????

  • @Hotmb23 Cause we're lazy... Don't judge me I'm Mexican I'm lazy by heritage...

  • @Trazosable haha im mexican/hawwiien :P i guess but i still play guitar XD im not so lazy

  • @Hotmb23 I play guitar, too haha

  • @Trazosable metals not dying. its in the background rocking the base. if you havent noticed, theres been alot of genres gone around this country, but the only one that has survived is rock/metal genres. dont beleive anyone who says its goin to die, its been alive since the beginning of the guitar

  • @RidingSausage Metal isn't 'dying' but it's changing. To the point where the good, classic metal isn't really a thing anymore. It's depressing. that's just my opinion though, I mean it's not like I'm going to roid-rage on you for not agreeing with me.

  • @Trazosable makes sense, it is changing... we need another metallica and dio

  • @RidingSausage We've had one it's called Megadeth, who has been around equally along and is significantly better than Metallica. Though they are pretty much two sides of a metal coin - one is thrashier, one was power-ier. Except Metallica has sucked for over 14 years and Megadeth only gets better. We still have new bands to carry on their tradition. Blind Guardian, Iced Earth, Korpiklaani, Alestorm, need I continue. Amazing bands. Argue all you want, they are great.

  • @Grenadeh On one hand you have your Five Finger Death Punches and your Avenged Sevenfolds, which aren't real metal and need to stop tricking the world, and on the other hand you have actual metal. No offense to 5FDP or A7X because they are listenable.

  • @Trazosable escape the fate coldplay and goo goo dolls lmao you don't deserve to make another comment on youtube as long as you live after that idiotic statement.

  • @Trazosable agreed i love all those bands the lead singer of the goo goo dolls and i went to the same high school not at the same time though hahaha

  • @Trazosable Are you sure? I know in South Dakota we have more Rock radio stations that play those groups than any other stations. Some play more of the older rock groups too.

  • @radioaktive18 So because a video or Genre has more views makes it better, You're clearly an idiot, People like you need to get strapped to chairs and beaten with a bag of hammers, Dipshit.

  • @annarose3317 no you fucking dumbass, i meant rock is better and people have no taste in music, this should have way more views than just fifteen 15,536. so shut the fuck up you whore before you say shit.

  • I love this band. This album brings back such weird memories for me...from like 6 months back, lol, but still.......

  • my fav song

  • 3rd comment, and this song fucking rocks!!!!

  • First commet woot and this is an amazing song.
