  • wonderful and fantastic acoustic experience! who expand the guitar mimetic and expressive potential for non idiomatic and folkloric guitar music. The sound is incredible and native classical modernistic, but is very difficult to play!. Tanks also for the score!

  • @Davy966 Why thank-you! And thanks for the subscription!

  • You are an Amazing musician Phil. You are a Huge Inspiration for me, both for guitar and composition

----I am curious about this piece's method of composition, It almost sounds 12-tone, But not entirely......... how did you go about composing this wonderful work?

  • Hello, thanks for your kind comments. I wrote this when I was a student and very influenced by composers like Sorabji and Scriabin. So I don't use any 12 tone techniques, I just wanted to write something that was large scale and difficult in the manner of these composers.

  • This is incredible material Phil, but I suppose that the musical content will be beyond the comprehension of most guitar players. You have me inspired! How much have you composed over the years?

  • Hello Keith, thank-you for your comments. I wrote a lot of music between 1988 and 1994 - mostly guitar music but I also wrote some orchestral music and some stuff for organ as well. I don't write so much these days as I am too busy, but I would like to find the time...
