I believe there are 5 Preludes groups. All but one of them on New York labels. The Preludes on Empire are a black group from Los Angeles. The Preludes on Cub are a white group from the Bronx, led by long time actor Bobby Miano. The Preludes on Arliss are also white but a different group. The Preludes on Octavia are black but different from the Preludes aka Preludes Five on Pik, who I believe are black.

I am pretty sure this is a NY group. I've heard that there was some sort of relation to the group on the Arliss label and that they are likely from Brooklyn.

I don't know, but I doubt it. I could be wrong though. The only info I have is that a collector I know remembers them being a Brooklyn group.. That might not even be the case. Hopefully one of the members or someone connected to this record finds us and enlightens us.
