the dutch band "Moke"made a plagiatism record that is copied from this song. THe lyrics of the chorus are mostly the same "here comes the summer"instead of 'Here comes the summer SUN", almost is the melody exactly the same. Not a case for legal charges? I'm surprised no one else brings this up

I read something about Holland not going under the same international laws when it comes to copying other artists songs. They can copy songs "without any legal rights being taken against them". In all cases you can take someone to court but it would be very difficult to win I guess.

Well, even if no one would take legal charges, it just surprises me this band is pretty known in holland (where i am from) and no one here brings it up. they come in TV shows and such..and no one asks " hey...why did you copy that song" ....I dunno...kinda weird to me
