  • I tried lucid dreaming last night for the first time... I started to feel it, then woke up very fast, and starting crying and pacing around my room. Did I do something wrong?

  • your supposed to use a camera not a carrot

  • @TheYowmuma98 Hey, I can chroma key with my carrot, can yours do that? This was shot 10 years ago, pre youtube days, we had to walk 30 minutes in the snow to upload things back then.

  • LucidTV, I couldn't find the answer for this question anywhere else, so I will ask you. When I was younger (like 14-15) lucid dreaming came natural to me. I only had to fall asleep and I could do everything I wanted. How's that? Why did it come natural back then?

  • Had my first lucid dream last night, but when I realized I was dreaming I freaked out and slipped into a false awakening (its like my brain is trying to not make me go lucid) But I became lucid again, freaked out AGAIN and then I transitioned into a non-lucid dream. How I stay calm for my next lucid dream?

  • @fourpointplayveta Congrats! And don't worry about it, staying calm will come on it's own. One tip, if you feel like you are loosing lucidity, try spinning your dream body. Practice during the day day by actually spinning. When you sense you are "loosing it" (maybe tunnel vision is starting, or you can feel the lucidity slipping), call up that feeling of spinning and/or spin your dream body :P

  • dont lucid dream, its horrible and dark. i feel dark preceance every night

  • @noduzdubstep its only horrible and dark if you make it that way, you gotta remember your in control, you can mould and change a lucid dream to be anything you want you just need to believe in yourself

  • @noduzdubstep Lucid dreams can help you face that darkness. Knowing that nothing can harm you in the dream permits you to send/share/give love to anything "dark" that is around you. Quick story: girls has nightmares all her life about being run after by monster, learns lucid dreaming, faces monster and askes "why follow me", monster says "tie your show lace"... love and light flows out of her into monster... You don't always have to "know" the dark.. just know that it can be helped with love

  • @noduzdubstep I can tell you watched insidious XD

  • It was months ago that I had my last luciddream, and I want to get it more often, how do I do? I keep a dreamjournal, I have been reading over and over again how to do it. And those reality checks? don't get them. I can't make those unless I already am in a luciddream.

  • Has anybody saw his dreambody ever ?

2 weeks ago i had a lucid dream ,and in a part of the dreamstate a look into a mirror

and saw my dreambody.it looks really strange the skin was bluish (blue) and my mouth had no lips ,no eyelashes. when i was talking to my self my mouth was closed

but i heard the words i spook in my mind.

When i awake i realize that a dreambody dont needs lips because we are dont eat or use the mouth anyway and also the eyelashes we dont close they eyes in our dreams.

  • when you dream..how do you know it's a lucid dream??

  • YAYY GOO QUEBEC !!

  • why is he sitting in a holodeck from star trek? xD

  • i got my first lcuid dream years ago...which i calledd "I-Realise-I-Was-Dreaming"...i dream about i got fire powers....then suddenly i tried to wake up.and move my real body....it felt really numb...and i really did it by moving my feet.......will you really feel numb? lol

  • I was actually trying this myself before I saw this video. I tried to find out what does the mind do while we dream but I always forget and I always remember small details that I think were important to me in the dream. Brandon 15 Bronx,NY

  • Can someone give me some tips. I have practiced lucid dreaming on and off for several years. But very recently, I have gotten very serious about it. As a matter of fact, I had my first lucid dream just the other night since I've gotten serious about it. It seems now that I can't remember my dreams after waking up. Can someone give me some tips on how to regain dream recall?

    Thanks

  • @oneironaut02a Do you keep a pen and paper next to your bed? This will greatly increase recall... it's all about intention, even the dream writing part!

I'm also getting back into a more active dream schedule after years of "neglect"! :)

  • @lucidtv I keep a voice recorder by my bed. It has always helped me better than pen and paper because I can get it recorded much more quickly than writing it down. After I record it, sometime later that day when I have time, I transcribe it into word pad and save it. I also save the file of my audio recording. This dream recall slump has been going on for about 2 days now. This morning I could only remember a tiny piece of a dream. I should have written it down but i didn't.

  • @oneironaut02a Before opening your eyes, when you are about to wake up, stay very very still. Stay there, open to anything, a feeling, a smell, a sound that mind pop up into your mind. Follow, in your mind, anything that comes up, before you get up :_)

Be easy on yourself, gently, just be... this should help with recall.

  • @oneironaut02a

Dont touch your head when u wake up.

  • @HashishFTW Why not? Don't leave us hanging, lol. xx

  • @miachevais

Dunno, whenever i touch my head in the morning i always forget my dreams.Maybe it will help for you too :]

  • @oneironaut02a

first ask youself often "what is reality" and try to recall any situation with all the feelings you had.

    2. : its important that you have your own dream diary book laying next to your sleep-place

    3. write in your book before you go to sleep the date and whats happend today then write "my dream today:

3.after 1-2 weeks you will remember your dreams you had, but aware if you forget to note you dream 1-2 times you will fall back and you have to start and waite 2 weeks again.

  • Did you know you are all just characters in my dream?

    Lucid the novel . com

  • whenever i lucid dream this woman shoots me

  • @tajofobo Then dream yourself with a bullet-proof vest....or a bigger gun...

  • Had many lucid dreams, assumed was normal. Can usually fly, anything from: run, jump and swim in the air to full scale superman flying (depending on severity of circumstance). Flew round world, rescued aliens (from human conspiracy), confronted (warewolf-like) version of self - all while lucid dreaming. Started when I was a kid, could only run and jump like on moon for 1st few yrs.

Some of the dreams seem to last 3-7+ days but are experienced during brief sleep. I know cos during 'snooze' time

  • hey i'd like to know more about the confronting yourself part, i had some lucid dreams in which i was not in control though i was aware i was dreaming, in these dreams i was also confronting a demon version of me.

would you consider it a lucid nightmare?

  • Hi,

No not a nightmare, merely self exploration and recognition. You could say that by confronting the deamon, you are facing your fears, only to realise you made them yourself in the first place - or at least that you control them.

I'd guess that in the time after this dream you started to find yourself a more grounded person, with a greater undestanding of your own fundamental make-up?

I'm writing a song about lucid dreaming at the moment actually, it's soundning pretty cool.

  • what the heck was his name...?

    michel shengchrharhaa?

  • Could anyone hear what he was saying? About half way through the audio just about dropped out. Also, what is up with the Star Trek TNG HoloDeck?

  • I LIKE POOPIN MY PANTS

  • good! cause we dont.

  • ...i do

  • Sometimes when I go to sleep at night I think "Hm, I'd like to go lucid tonight" and then I close my eyes and lay in my bed.. and a horrifying image pops up.. and I think to myself "OMG, PLEASE DONT HAVE A NIGHTMARE, DONT HAVE A NIGHTMARE" and then I end up not going lucid because I think my mind protects me from having a nightmare.

  • Every time I have a lucid dream, I start destroying everything around me.

  • I just realized that I haven't had a single dream since school started :( not one! (that I can remember anyways)

  • Lol the backround is that off the Enterprise's holodek (star trek) Don't think we don't know!!!!

  • In my Dreams Im ALways "Useless" I Have No Control I Try and Fly Or Use Powers But i Dont Seem to Have The Energy to do it

Ive Never had a Dream were IM In Control :(

  • no worries, that doesnt mean that u wont. That feeling of "uselessnes" is telling you somehting u must know before moving on, Do u feel Useless in real life soemtimes?

  • Yes I feel pretty Useless :/

  • So that will be mirrored in your dreams in similar ways. Truth is YOU ARE NOT!! work with that, come out of that shit, you are worth alotte!!!

  • I Certainly Feel Worthless, I Have SO Many problmes in my life

im really sad theres something huge happened to me aand i cant tlel anyone

ive even been thinking of suicide

  • I understand you, Ive had a prity hard life too. but you can come out of it. Use lucid dreaming to help you out, or use anything to come out. If you kill yourself you only take thoes problems with you, only that this time you have no phisical body in your advantage. take what is there, shift attention to the good stuff in your life. it is a process, and it can be done.

  • your right i need to focus on the good things

  • Dear friend,

as one human being to another, from hart to heart, have a big hug and give yourself a big hug! We are all on a journey and honestly - you are of immeasurable value, just as you are, warts and all. You have more love and peace in your heart than you can know, as we all do - the odd thing is you get it by giving it away! Take heart my friend - you have much to give and are loved by God and life. Be well, have fun and go easy on yourself! best wishes always, al

  • thank you so much

i need to start finding the solutions to my problems

one has plagued me tho since it happened

itll be tough dealing with it and itll probably make people see me differently possibly even hate but i didnt choose to be this way hopefully theyll see that

  • thank you your problems contain great gifts. They make you stronger, wiser and more compassionate when you work through them, as you are doing even by sharing here. As for other people, let them take care of themselves. Be kind, good and supportive to yourself, treat yourself with fun and laughter and goodness and you will start to attract such people to yourself. You are a hero in your own adventure and God is with you. Big hug my friend an go get 'em!

  • @TheChillyAcademicIV Also, suicide would not stop your problems, the only thing you do is making more problems ON TOP of the other problems, you should solve them, lucid dreaming is a way, or try be over-positive, think brightly, and even act a little stupid if that makes people laugh (not laughing out, but laughing because it's funny) you should feel better, you're definetely not useless, you're good in something right? See, you're not useless, it's just more difficult to convince yourself ATM.

  • @Shadowmov3r

Ive started feeling more positive in life even though i still wish i could be like everyone else

Im gay but at first i didnt want to be but im okay with myself now even tho i wish i could be straight but wishing on something like that is pointless, I get sad sometimes because one day i will have to tell everyone and there reactions will probably be grim it makes me so sad but i try not to think about it

  • @TheChillyAcademicIV

hey hey hey now, don't think about suicide! Every problem in the world has a solution, try bring a solution to your problems, and if they are hard to solve, at least try making them less problematic, your life will be way better, it will give you a feeling of "hey, I actually can do things by myself, I am not worthless!", because you aren't worthless, being alive is something special. If you were worthless, you wouldn't be here. But since you're here, you aren't!

  • I feel you chilly I'm like that too I lose control when I try doing crazy things like jumping high going under water etc....

  • The great part is once you figure out how to grab the reins of a lucid dream you start having more and more of them!!

  • my first lucid dream was a few days ago, I woke up at 5:00 in the morning and sort of sunk into my bed, and my imagination (I was imagining things) gradually turned into a real dream! It's just like your imagination becoming extremely vivid and realistic, and I instantly thought "This is different to ordinary day-dreams. It's more real! OH MY GOD THIS MUST BE IT!!"

Trust me, the thrill of it is well worth the time you spend to get there :D

  • that's known as a wake induced lucid dream, or WILD

  • i had 1 but i when i was waking up the floor fell from underneath me and i woke up wit a feaver it waz scary

  • Sorry I didnt catch your name "Youshovewho" look go and buy a decent mic, and start again!!! Doh!!

  • Give him a break he's French Canadian!

  • is name is Michel Gingras, dumbass get some culture

  • hmm

  • Very cool stuff! Being that aware of oneself in order to be lucid comes easier to some than other, but with practice it will work. By the way, I don't do drugs lol.

  • I have lucid dreamed, and my husband was in another country. I did not tell him I had been doing it again(we used to practice together) Anyway, when we talked I asked him how he slept. He said it was wierd. HE felt like someone was sleeping next to him at his back with arm around his stomach. Then I told him that was not so odd. I was lucid dreaming last night, and that is what I went to the Uk( in my sleep) to do, and that is what I visualized...me sleeping at his back with arm around him.

  • if you were twins, I'd call it Twin Telepathy, but in this case I suppose that makes it Sole-mate Telepathy XD

  • i like lucid dreaming but mescaline is better!

  • Dude, screw lucid dreaming - use your holodeck!

    XD

  • you are so adorably geeky

  • i have one of those masks.

    nice holo-deck, hehe.

  • Everything visual is heavenly, It feels better than any drug, i can actually hear my body giggling while im sleeping cuz its making me feel such amazing bliss. waking up im happy for the whole rest of the day, and never forget each lucid dream... Try it..

  • I'm trying to get into it... o.O First time I've heard of it though, and I tried just a couple hours ago. I was trying the Blackboard trick but the TV in the other room kept distracting me. Before I knew..I fell asleep.. D:

  • @sirnate1 Well, that is so amazing my friend. I feel happy just to read that you feel so happy lol. x

  • dreamz better than drugs. i can be superman if i wanna be!!! feels like GTA. i was superjumping last night

  • Cool. A few weeks ago I dreampt I was paralized o_O

  • Looks like you're in the Star Trek holodeck! Ironically enough - you're in a REAL version of the holodeck!!

  • lucid dreaming is awesome, recall dreaming is fun to. Its like a hobby

  • Lol for me, lucid dreaming is VERY easy and have atleast1 every 2 weeks.I dont really bother training for having one every day but ill evantually get one.And the sound quality sucks maybe re-upload it since its hard to understand :/

  • i tried 2 lucid dream but i woke up with sleep paralysis, i tried 2 scream but nothing came out, and it seemed like some1 was watchin over me

  • i just read articles of how to have lucid dream and i went to bed and tried to have one and i became paralised and i was so scared i came down stairs and im watching videos on it to learn moreabout it it's not funny when that happens to u.

  • Be careful, thats often a sign of carbon monoxide poisoning. It probably had nothing to do with your lucid dream attempt.

  • Before I learned to lucid dream, I hated going to sleep. Not anymore :P

  • it's simple...wanna go to a world where you can do whatever you want? learn lucid dreaming!

  • Hey, great video! If anyone would like to have a lucid dream experience tonight, check out my videos!

  • How would you know if I just decided to lie and say, I'm lucid dreaming? I'm a cynic and this just sounds.... um... iffy....at best.

PS, i'm a registered sleep tech.

I heard Michael Nielson talk to my lab today an he really wanted to on about lucid dreaming. Apparently he has a book coming out,"A novel though and the art of lucid dreaming".

  • Each time when I realize that I am dreaming and I take control of my dream, I wake up. I am glad your video suggests Lucid Dream device, I will look into those.

  • I read a good tip that worked for me when I felt like I was about to come out of the dream. Just picture yourself spinning. I've found that everything around you in the dream falls away, and after a while you can start afresh. Worth trying, if youre still struggling to stay lucid.

  • Interesting. Thanks for psting it.

  • 1.. 2, freddy's coming for you.. 3.. 4, better lock your door... 5.. 6.. getchur crucifix.. 7.. 8.. dont stay up late.. He'll get you in your lucid dreams BAby!

  • OMFG! i cant wait! i love freddy! <3

  • u know if the wake up radio runs u dream that ur in a disco and dont wake up. really funny. since that i have only a *piep* noise clock to wake up

  • I have been taking much more interest in L.D. lately and I have become lucid quite regularily though I feel i dont have TOTAl control. I am still willing to practise and i think that is the key.

  • dude how do you start to lucid dream?

  • its wierd and you kind of have to find your own way of doing it but as you begin to fall asleep concentrate on your breathing, you could even try breathing in time to a song in your head. This will help you relax and focus. Also throughout the day take more notice of events and surroundings. Hope this helps :)

  • thanks, but its like i dont have the power of thought like during the 5 mins when im actually falling into sleep, thus losing consiousness, i cant even remember to say things to myself. and its another thing to be able to get yourself to look at your hand or a piece of text during your dream...

  • I know what you mean :)

Don't worry, dont give it toooo much thought just be patient and relax.

  • I agree, write down every dream you have, and just keep trying, when you get used to it you will always look at your hands in your dream.

  • exactly, it doesn't happen over night (no pun intended :P )

  • happens to me too much sumtimes i just cant think, weird i know

  • you can lucid dream really really easily u just dnt know it all u have to do is when u dream really try to move and try to think think about it b4 u go to sleep at night and just keep practicing soon you'll get it

  • @dicostu

    1. Stop smoking pot

    2. Drink pure juices before sleep

    3. sleep for 90 minutes, then wake up and move around for a bit, for like 30 minutes.

    4. Go back to sleep

    5. lucid dream!

  • I just notice i replied as Blade ^_^ but the thought is the same!!!

  • and sorry about the hippie part that was a quote!!

  • Hi Fasterraper, Thank you for the comments. Your honesty is refreshing.

You motivate me to start making new lucid dreaming video's (in fact, so many new Lucid Dreaming video's are coming out that I can hardly stay quiet anymore!)

Fasterraper, I've held a few workshops over the years since recording this video. Would you accept my help if I were to help you learn, on a private basis, how to become lucid?

    (more in description)

  • Sure the help would happily be granted :p. I might change my mind about "Lucid Dreaming"!!!

  • Thank you for your honesty... very refreshing.

Yes it's hard, it's hard for me these days to have lucid dreams because I consume substances that hinder my dream recall...

Would you let me coach you?

  • so he flames you and gets offered free coaching? ill take up your offer, im serious, most other sites u gotta go through a heck load of crap just to get word from someone whos been there, even then its a farse 'Please hold I have 1000000 other people to deal with, wait in line, DeanG40.' lawl

  • Ok, the video was made years and years ago...

Let me whip up new video's that talk, well, to you DeanG40.

"Fasterraper" up there is MIA :)

So, tell me Dean, do you remember your dreams?

  • @lucidtv which substances hinder dream recall? does nicotine?

  • well ive experienced it and if you just read my comments and look at my favorite videos you will see im quite usualy skeptical of such things, however lucid dreaming is quite possible

  • Noobs...

  • masks for the noobs :P

  • This still going?

  • Computer...,end program.

  • boy, i really want one of those dream masks

  • me too!

  • YO what happend to this project
