  • I might get a d410 but does it support usb boot? I don't have a dell external drive but i have a lg external dvd drive.

  • @lestcom2 It should....The D410 is entirely different though.

  • hi please reply back fast how do i reformat it?

  • @ToNzZlive You must use some sort of OS CD. Alternatively you can use a formatting tool, but you can't be in the operating system.

  • @Dell0304 but there is no cd disk on the computer for me.

  • @ToNzZlive You need to have the Dell external drive. I have that, so it's not a problem for me.

  • I have one for sale right now. Great computer

  • @Jakeman2164 yup

  • Funny man right after I saw this video I just saw 1 on Craigslist so i think I'm going to buy the sun of a gun :D

  • would be a really nice with vista sp2.

  • @NitroGadvRules Not even.

  • @NitroGadvRules Vista SUCKS

  • On another vid, you obviously changed the stickers because it was designed for vista, not XP.

  • @jman454100 You just figure that out? and if you have been watching my videos about this thing...you would know that is IS designed for XP, the keyboard just has a vista windows key.

  • Wow

Core 2 Duo is a kickass CPUs

  • @CrashTest355 No no, this is a Core Duo, not a Core 2 Duo. But it still is very fast!

  • nice laptop, btw today i went to staples to get my desktops tuned up and i saw they were tuning a Dell Inspiron E1705 i think

  • @CompaqCQ5504 You wasted money to have other people clean your computers? wow...

  • @Dell0304 no it was a FREE thing

  • @CompaqCQ5504 oh, ok.

  • @Dell0304 they told me the day i got my laptop, they asked me since they were having an event today so i decided to do it since its free anyways

  • nice, looks like the baby child of my latitude d820

  • @Jallge yep.

  • wow your resolution is 800x600???

  • @danail7777 I hadn't installed the disply driver yet. Now I have 1280x800!

  • Did you down graded to Windows XP? Or is that a virtual PC? That computer seems a good one. But I am actually going with a Mac :) Subbed!

P.S I got here from WinBetaX!

  • @Windows7Fan1 No, it was designed for winxp. I put a vista sticker on it becuse the keyboard has the new windows logo on it, but I later found out it has a WinXP COA on the bottom, so the keyboard must have been replaced sometime in it's life. I took the Vista sticker off and put an XP one on.

  • my netbook is better in almost any way, but hell. my netbook was 330 euros and that thing a LOT less XD.

nice little machine for on the go, love the design btw. black always looks great on a laptop, especially with metallic silver/grey.

  • @nelizmastr It was $1500 when new. And netbook suck in my opinion! this is better than a netbook, regardless of better specs.

  • @Dell0304 I bet my netbook beats that thing in every kind of test :P but anyways. its still a nice thing, but the resolution looks a lot less than my 10.1inch. is that 800x600 or something?

  • @nelizmastr Whatev, i hate netbooks. I had 2 of them die on me, one an HP and the other an Acer.

Yeah, it's 12.1.I hadn't installed the display driver yet when I made this vid. Now I have 1280x800!

  • @Dell0304 thats the reason I buy the more luxury netbooks. they tend to last longer.

anyway.. that was the same resolution my old acer aspire with a 15.4inch screen had lol.

    glad I sold that garbage.

  • @nelizmastr God I hate Acers.

  • Nice!

  • @DellChannel21 Thanks!

  • Oh my goodness! I'm actually in the process of saving up to buy one of these little things. I've wanted one for ages, they seem awesome. :)

  • @94gwilliams Ohh, believe me they are =)

  • @Dell0304 I just won one of these on ebay for £85, fully working, no problems whatsoever. I'm so excited for it's arrival. :)

  • @94gwilliams That's the equivalent to $135 US Dollars. Cool!

  • @Dell0304 Yeah, I thought that was pretty cheap. I even got the seller to throw in the official dell external DVD drive. :)

  • @94gwilliams Yeah, they gave me the charger and external DVD drive, too. The only thing they didn't give me was the hard drive, which i bought seperately.

  • @Dell0304 Mine comes included with an 80GB hard drive which I plan to run data removal software in at work anyway, just to be on the safe side. Plan on making any more video's on this thing any time soon?

  • @94gwilliams Cool, mine's a 60GB. If I'm not to sick today, I'll do an Impressions/Updates video.

  • Nice laptop!

  • how much?$

  • @crammage about $93. But it was another $81 for the 1.8" hard drive.

  • @Dell0304 is there any money to be made?

  • awesome laptop! are you rich or something?

  • @Compaq0304 no, I got this for 80 bucks.

  • @Dell0304 cool, once again, cool laptop and I'm sorry if I was rude to you!!!

  • @Dell0304 Did you trade any in to get it?

  • @ryebread761 no, i got this off eBay

  • @Dell0304 Oh nice deal!

  • Sometimes people don't think about it when buying new computers, but having that 56k modem is always a good thing when the time needs it! Sometimes you might be at a hotel, and you can sometimes use the phone line for free dial-up (you only pay for the minutes used, like a regular phone call), and if you want to send a fax without a fax machine!

The Latitudes are probably Dell's best line of portables... Inspirons are okay, but build quality could be a little better in some areas.

  • @sonic3243 It's installed...

  • @xxCLASSCLOWNxx Cauz the Core Duo is only 1.2Ghz, the hard drive is only 60GB, and I want it to run cooler.

  • @Dell0304 If netbooks run Windows 7 no problem, why shouldn't this one though?

  • @talldude123 I didn't say that it wouldn't run, but I want the lightest OS possible on this thing so it runs very fast!

  • this one looks newer

  • @TJC450 Than what?

  • @Dell0304 than your other DELL.

  • @TJC450 it's newer than my D810, but not my Inspiron 1501. This comp. is from 2006, my 1501 is from 2007, and the D810 is from 2005.

  • I may get a Gateway computer for free on Craigslist.

  • @yelnam2manley What year is it from?

  • @ryebread761 Around 2002-2004.

  • @yelnam2manley Still nice for free... It would be really fast on win2000 prob

  • @ryebread761 The computer has a Pentium 4, 512MB of RAM (May go up to 1GB or so), 40GB and WIndows XP.

  • @yelnam2manley Yah I would install 2000 if I were you just sayin ;)

  • @ryebread761 Windows 2000 doesn't have support anymore. Since last July.

  • @yelnam2manley Support can go suck itself. I am about to install Windows 2000 on (about) 60 PCs running Windows XP. HOW DO YOU LIKE THAT!? :D :D

  • @an65001 If support can go suck itself, then I'm voiding my warranty. Which my dad paid $100.

  • @yelnam2manley My dad does not pay Warranty. And my school has Custom Built PCs with NO WARRANTY.

  • @yelnam2manley Yeah, I wouldn't install 2k on freaking 8GB of RAM!

  • @Dell0304 I not going to do that, but I may get a free computer With Pentium 4 and 512MB of RAM.

  • @yelnam2manley Doesn't mean it's not usable... Some programs still run and when will you use MS support anyways?

  • @ryebread761 I would use Windows 2000 for Pentium II, Pentium III, early P4's, early Celerons, early Athlons, and Duron). Other than that I use XP.

  • @yelnam2manley Ok then... I just think it would be a lot faster on win2000 with that amount of RAM....

  • FINALLY A VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I might be getting a IBM Thinkcenter M52 soon but maybe not and if I do get it I will get it tuesday so we got computers not that far apart and make lot's more videos cool ok bye.

  • @ryebread761 You're dream has come true. Cool!

  • of you love dell, are you getting a alienware any time soon?

  • @rubix63 uhh, no...

  • @BrentsComputerReview Haha yeah!
