  • This brings back such great memories!! This Christmas special was always my favorite as a child:-)

  • I love watching this with my Dad every year, he says it's been his favorite since he was little and it makes me happy to see my Dad so happy about a Christmas show. For 17 years I've watched this with my Pops, it's going to be sad when I go off to college and I have to watch this alone.

  • Animation is worse than South Park

  • great christmas classic! They don't make them liek this anymore...hell they don't make anymore period!

  • Someone told me the guy who sings this killed JR on the final episode of Dallas in 1991 and he is also Jennifer Grey's father

  • I like the South Park version better, because it's faster and more confident-sounding, but then again liking the South Park version is a capital offence, so maybe I don't. It's a good song either way.

  • To anyone looking for the South Park Version:

Go to/google search south park studios

Search Even A Miracle Needs a Hand

  • I like it when the kids mimic the little orchestration and go DA DA DA DA DA DA.... so cute

  • I didnt even know this was a real song

  • the one person who disliked this was jewish

  • kerplooey

  • I can't remember the last time I saw this. Probably 10-15 years ago.

    ...Growing up sucks.

  • @Teufeldolch AbcFamily(:

i juss watchd it ike abt an hour ago hehe(:

  • My 4 daughters..40 to 29....LOVE this cartoon..a must watch every year for them and their children..

  • love the original, this cartoon was a blast watching when i was younger, but just saying, id like to hear the south park version, i cant find it on youtube!

  • South park version is better!

  • @Stendylover SO TRUE!

  • I am so into that song

  • I wish they would put these songs on CD

  • @Wheeljack35 TRUE

  • I love this song :)

  • Nothing better then these wonderful old classics, we who grew up during those times had, I think, more imagination and wholesome memories, the world was a little less corrupt at that time, a kinder gentler world. Todays humor is getting rediculous, if it doesn't fart or burp or say filth, WOW that's funny, Nahhh it NOT, just not compared to the talent that made these types of Classic Cartoons or Claymation which is wonderful too, real talent...But have a Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

  • WHo cares anyway? Both this and the South Park one are good (though South Park's is definatley funnier). And keep in mind Matt and Trey from South Park are just paying their deepest respectes to this.

  • This seem like the kind of song I would sing in church it seem to have quite a spiritual message.

  • Will people kindly stop getting so bent out of shape when people mention the South Park reference? The creators put it in because they obviously love the original. Leave it at that.

  • How can you not like this cartoon? Who cares if there is a South Park version; always remember, imitation, no matter how vulgar, is the sincerest form of flattery. Have a great holiday season!!!!

  • omg, great memories. i was a 70s child and this and many more 70s classics gave me hope and vision and i will always cherish the special moments i have in my heart from these great shows. in a way, i owe a great deal of who i am today from these type of shows. GOD BLESS US ALL!

  • Kids need to grow up believing in miracles and know that they can create the miracles in their lives.

  • happy happy happy!!!!! this was a tradition when i was a child adn now its one with my kids.

  • Does anyone else think the guy in the scarf looks like Mr. Weasely from the Harry Potter movies?

  • @sonickid101 are you serious??? It's a cartoon .. lighten up. I guess you don't believe in miracles, so sad.

  • @sonickid101 WTH? It's a Christmas cartoon. South Park? Are you freaking serious? South Park is so vulgar. You have no Christmas spirit. If you don't like this video, then go spread your hateful comments somewhere else.

  • @sonickid101 I think I'm replying to exactly what is wrong with society. You're over-analyzing and being overly critical of something that was meant for children to enjoy, and comparing it to South Park? You've either grown up with absolutely no heart whatsoever, or you just enjoy posting comments like this to get a rise out of people.

Either way, it's pretty sad, and I feel sorry for you.

  • @sonickid101

Hey dumbass, this is a classic. so what it was low budget? its the memories that count. And the creators of Soutpark like this you moron thats why they put it in their christmas special. and you clearly have no values if you think the message is horrible. mice is not the message. miracles can happen if you give them a little push thats the message. You didnt even listen. Whats wrong with society?! whats wrong with you. go do some research before you make yourself look like an idiot

  • You hope, and I'll hurry. You pray, and I'll plan. You love, and I'll labor. You sit, and I'll stand. You wish, and I'll whittle. You drip, while I dry. Let's all try to help a little, 'cause...it sounds like I'm doing all the work!!!!

  • i loved this cartoon growin up omg such a classic!

  • Ah childhood. love this song so much.

  • I like this:)

  • is this orginal or is matt'sand treys the original

  • @greg12320 This was first...from 1974.

  • @vinylrecord68 alright thanks dude

  • @greg12320 haha this is from the 70's I'm very certain that this is the original

  • I still laugh at Kyles face during the South park version.

  • did anyone know the voice of the Mouse who climbed into the clock in city hall is voiced by a woman by the name of Tammy Grimes.

  • Only a child would say the south park version is better. Respect the clasics! ;)

  • @virux2424 Yeah right, a child that doesn't even know that South Park is not for children!

  • @virux2424

The South Park version wasn't even in tune.....the original has a real...what are they called again? Oh yeah, singers that can carry a tune.

  • @virux2424 I only like this "classic" because Trey likes it x3

  • Soouth Park version is better

  • @Milkman26789Z

Yeah! remember when Kyle's face turns into one of the faces of these characters for a split second? The episode was "A very crappy Christmas".

  • Love it! CaptialCH, much thanks!

  • It was my grandson who were watching South park that i got the name for this song, that i love but its not on our t.v. but i still dont like South park.

  • AAWW! so cute :D

this is defo my fave holiday special <3

  • this is the best song out of all these old christmas shows!!!!!

  • any old time MAD magazine fans? I mean from the 60s and 70s-- back when it was actually funny? You'll probably recognize Paul Coker, Jr's artwork.

  • there's actually a family at my church who look exactly like these folks except they all have black hair instead of red. FIrst time I saw them, I told my wife that they were a walking Paul Coker, Jr. cartoon. I mean, exactly!

  • THIS WAS ON SOUTH PARK. :D

  • I think the animation was made in Japan.

It has a Lupin the 3rd feel to it sometimes.

  • Actually Rankin Bass was behind, the artists and studio were Japanese, but the production is still American, much like The Year Without Santa. And who would have thought the Japanese artists involved would later be apart of Studio Ghibli.

  • It was, many of the animators ended up working for Studio Ghibli later.

  • Coming from a Hardcore Lupin Fan...Yes, It does have that feel to it. The Art style of it is so wounderful and peaceful at the same time

  • Just checked on Wikipedia and it said that it was animated in Japan by those that went on to animate for studio Ghibli (Love me some Totoro and Princess Mononoke).

Wouldn't have known if you hadn't have brought it up.

Thanks much, so Merry Christmas to you, CapitalCH and all YouTubers!

  • Yay! Joel Grey!

My favorite Christmas special of all time

  • Lol I love this song it was in South Park =P

  • Joel Grey is such a good singer!

  • I didn't remember this cartoon or this song until I saw the south park episode recently...hah. It's a really good message though.

  • Wheres the South Park version. Don't get me wrong this is good too.
