Anyways... I always thought of the Rainbow Road music as a fitting final/semi-final stage background music. I don't think it fits for the first level of the game.
I can't criticize anything else about this level. The level design isn't completely straightforward, and it's better than mine would ever be. Very good overall.
I need help with ExGFX. How come when I load ExGFX, it doesn't look like the GFX i inserted. Like instead of a desert laybrinth i get some grassy land. SOMEONE HELP ME! IM SO CONFUSED!
If you've found SMW central look through the Documents section, there should be a tutorial called "Overworld Music inserter" to add level music you need to type a different line:
Meh, not the first time. Plus its normal in Mario's world; there are floating blocks! Besides if I had it connect to the pipe there would be a blank line between the pipe and the bottom of he midway point. :P
could you send this hack in a linke to me

supermamaluigi 3 years ago
Oh, and its really the MKWii version of the music?
SonicShadowPSF 3 years ago
No, it's Mario Kart DS' Rainbow Road music.
Linkkiro 3 years ago
Wow, MKwii Rainbow Road music fits this very well!
Nice level design, I'm looking forward for this.
SonicShadowPSF 3 years ago
Cool
reminded me of a sonic level
because really where you fall from there is always a bottom
and lots of slopes and all that jazz
i dont know it just looks pretty sonicish
its a cool thing though

Grammer issue. It said, "Sometimes there is star coins". Still, SWEET HACK!
stevoisiak 4 years ago
I don't find anything wrong with that. :/
BecauseIs 4 years ago
It should be "grammar" and it should be "Sometimes there ARE star coins."

Also, I like the idea of the flying star coins :)

Thanks, it was fairly simple to do. Yay for hex editing!

It's a nice level, I like the pipe theme. I think that a good compliment to a pipe theme would be screen-scrolling pipes, just a suggestion. 5/5.
BTW did you actually put the music in the game, or did you just play it during the level recording?
pieguy1372 4 years ago
That music is in game. :P

Oops nevermind o.0

Awesome level!
But where's the music from and what is it called? It's so familiar...
Shadowgenisis 4 years ago
It's Rainbow Road from Mario Kart DS.
chafenhimer 4 years ago
BTW, its placeholder music until I find some better music to fit the level. :P

How do you get the Rainbow Road music in the game?
I'm asking it for a friend.
"What? NeoWynaut got friends?"
NeoWynaut 4 years ago
I used a tool called "addmusic" Not sure how good Google will work though. :/
BBSplat 4 years ago
Thanks, I found it at SMWCentral, and some other interresting stuff too.
NeoWynaut 4 years ago
Sorry for double posting, but I don't know how to start it up.
NeoWynaut 4 years ago
If you've found SMW central look through the Documents section, there should be a tutorial called "Overworld Music inserter" to add level music you need to type a different line:
addmusic smw.smc LEVEL
BBSplat 4 years ago
I readed how to do it, but if I type this in CMD, after I press Enter, it says "?????????" and nothing happens next.
NeoWynaut 4 years ago
Its supposed to do that.
BBSplat 4 years ago
What next?
NeoWynaut 4 years ago
After you have sucessfully inserted it? Open up Lunar Magic and hit the Note Block button. At the Dropdown list change it to "20: Not used"
BBSplat 4 years ago
I tried to do it, but without succes, can you make a walkthrough video of using this?
NeoWynaut 4 years ago
Urban Dictionary is your friend.
