It tells the soldier to stand up and fight, The rules of general application are that you never commit aggression, you seize every opportunity for peace and never attack civilians. If Christianity was the religion of those who followed Jesus, then what Jesus preached when he was on earth becomes following the will of God.

How could Ishmael & Hagar travel 1,000 miles in the desert heat on a days ration of food & water?
If they had indeed gone to Mecca, Hagar would have picked out a Saudi bride for Ishmael instead of an Egyptian bride.

Stoning of the Devil is part of the annual Islamic Hajj pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca. Muslim pilgrims fling pebbles at three walls called jamarat. It is one of a series of ritual acts performed in the Hajj. Stoning the devil has historical and Spiritual significance.
When Prophet Abraham visited Mecca to visit Ishmael and to build Kaaba (the black box like structure) the Devil appeared to him. Abraham threw seven stones at him so that he disappeared from him.

Another historical event is when Abraham was sacrificing Ishmael, the Devil appeared to him but Abraham threw stone at Devil, so the Devil withdrew from him.
All three jamarat/walls represent the devil: the first and largest represents his temptation of Abraham against sacrificing Ishmael, the second represents the temptation of Abraham's wife Hagar to induce her to stop him, and the third represents his temptation of Ishmael to avoid being sacrificed

He was rebuked each time, and the throwing of the stones symbolizes those rebukes. Stoning is not mentioned in Quran and not really part of religious task but all pilgrims perform it.

It tells the soldier to stand up and fight, The rules of general application are that you never commit aggression, you seize every opportunity for peace and never attack civilians. The terrorists and the far right have decided to understand the texts related to direct combat as an absolute rule for their own reasons.

Besides, Islam being the perfect religion cannot be mis-interpreted, can it ? If so, who decides what the correct interpretation is ?. With respect to terrorist: non-muslims need to understand that they are not "innocent" and therefore expendable. Same goes for muslims committing suicide.

@januk36 Please The Quran was taught throughout 23 years, which is long enough to explain a book less than 400 pages - isn't it. There are issues open to interpretation - certain details on the application of Islam - but not basicc rules on maintaining human dignity and rules of combat.
There is no religion or ideology in the word where no has never project ed his own wrong interpretation on it. Wolcome to the complexity of the real world.

Is there anything that makes more sense than beleiving in One God who created everything else - That God is Unique and needless to become a man, a woman or anything else? And what about the beleif that God forgives all sins and that we are free from inherited sin. What if Islam is truely a religion from God?

I was surprised hearing muslims claiming time and again that islam is perfect and logical in order to PROVE that islam is god-given. Clearly that's not the case, god is not even almighty if you take those statments literally.

Why is it logical to think a snail is God? It cannot defend itslef? So, if you are on a ship about to sink or you have a loved one extremely ill - would you fall o your knees and say: God - if your true- I am not sure yah - but if you are true help me? How can a snail help you?

@januk36 There is no mention in the Qura of Jesus walking on water- suppose it happened, I won't think this is from 'jesus himself because Jesus was a man. And God is God and Man is Man. As much as god cannot be a weak snail, he cannot be a man who died and could not defend himself. What I mean God logically must be capable and if he decides to change the laws that govern his creation (a miracle) he can. A man cannot.

Godis not ashamed to set forth a parable even of a mosquito" while it also say "We have created the universe and we are expanding it" so large and small things are signs of the creator. God needs not to come down to the level of his creation? What is the difference really between saying god is a musquito or incarnated into a mosquito? God should always be above his creation:
