Beautiful; he doesn't 'tickle 'em'. Loved all his work from FZ to Weather Report to Genesis. I had the good fortune and pleasure of meeting him at the West LA Music Keyboard show one year. He is a really cool individual; very nice man.

I could never get my drums to soubnd like that. Mine always have so much boom to them. Chester's don't ring on so long. It's like his skins are thin or something. I've always liked the sound he and Phil Collins got from their kits.

I play a 60's model Ludwig kit with 8 and 10 Tama toms on top. The Ludwigs are open on teh bottom and the Tamas have skins top and bottom.

I think he tapes up all the port holes on his drums. i've also seen some "random" chunks of pading gaff taped to his toms....
