  • @moirasmith

First three words of course, 'Om a hum' ... the 'hung' goes at the end. I got it wrong .... and these things matter ...

Check out Sa Dinding's 'Alive' .... Youtube, iTunes etc

  • @moirasmith I found it. Thanks.

  • @ralax3

This song is by craig pruess on his album Sacred Chants OF Buddha

    Namaste

  • Listening this song is like listening to levitating gods singing beautiful songs.

  • I listen to this over and over. Please where can I get the music? It's not Tai chi too as was posted. Thank you

  • i found this one the most soothing, and then only started reading the comments. one that struck me...that this is the correct pronunciation. coming from someone who wouldn't know, i'm happy for this twist. i've only started allowing buddhism into my outlook, such a broad term though. my father's path was zen, but the buddhism of tibet has finally entered my hardened heart

  • :)

  • Could you tell me where I can purchase this CD or DVD? I recently attended this empowerment. This is really beautiful Thank you

  • What does this chant mean?

  • @kdh5of9 As far as I can work out: Oh Ah Hum Precious/ Diamond/Thunderbolt Guru, lotus born, grant us your siddhis [powers]. Hung. {Mantras are invocations/prayers, not instructions or explanations. There will be much on the web however.)

  • What is the meaning of the lotus flower as a symbol in Tibetan Buddhism? I'm wondering because my name means lotus...

  • @xRinoasis There are many meanings so that the space here is not big enough for all of them. The Lotusseed is growing it's flower inmidst muddy water but it's flower is stainless above those waters. No dirt can affect the flower and that's one reason why it symbolizes wisdom and enlightenment and the full blossoming of the enlightened heart and mind.We all have the Buddhanature like the lotusseed in our hearts and therefore the potential to unfold Buddhahood.I hope this helps, cheers !

  • GURU RINPOCHE (Vajra Guru) Mantra: Om Ah Hung Vajra Guru Pema Siddhi Hung (is actually pronounced) Om Ah Hung Benza Guru Pema Siddi Hung. This is what I was taught.

  • @Gargeniture Only if you're Tibetan. The Sanskrit pronunciation is as in the recording.

  • thank you!!!!! peace and passion

  • This is one of my favourite mantra's, I use it often before meditation and recite it myself quietly during my session. This particular version is by Craig Pruess from the album Sacred Buddhist Chants.

  • Thank you for this beautiful chant. May Benzra Guru give power to Buddha Gyani Tamang Rimpoche, Palden Dorje in Nepal. From November 18th to the 24th, 2009 Palden Dorje will be giving blessings on the site of Gadhi Mai Mela near Nijgad in Bara District. He plans this appearance in order to protest the sacrificing of over a million animals before they begin on the 25th.

May all suffering from all being come´s into me !

  • @nhocazn thank you ! this video really bring peace within, may all suffering from alle beings come into me :)

  • @robmiller100 It's not “their dharma." Who owns dharma? No one invented dharma, nor do they poseess dharma, nor do they mete it out. Dharma just is. People are trying to market and brand dharma and bodhi as "theirs" and "unique." What nonsense. Lamas are trying to be celebrities, and what has all that got to do with liberating minds?

Dharma is, was, and will be, that's all. You can't own what has nothing to hold onto.

  • Thank you for using the proper sanskrit pronunciation for the manta. This is the way I was taught to chant it

  • Amitabha,

You're welcome, and I hope you continue to gain benefits and attainment through this practice. May you be happy, safe, well, and free from sorrows.

    Amitabha Buddha

  • @Gaiavisionarydesign This is not the proper Sansrtam, at least as far as the printed text banner nhocazn placed on the video. 'Pema' is the Tibetan corruption of Sanskrtam 'padma,' and 'hung' is Tibetan version of Sanskrtam 'hum' with a long 'u' and nasal 'm.' The proper Sanskrt is "Om ah hum vajra guru padma siddhi hum." THe final m's are nasal and the o in Om is long, as are the u's in 'hum.' TIbetan version is just their spelling which approximates the Sanskrt.

  • This is a wonderful mantra video, thank you. I am very interested in Tibetan mantras after I have watched a video - MANTRAS - Holy Words of Power" by Tsem Tulku Rinpoche. Please post more videos like this and may the 3 jewels bless us always.

  • What's the meaning of this Dharani?

I only know that Vajra Guru means the Holy Diamond-like mentor...

  • "Om", "Ah" and "Hung" are just seed syllables, they don't have specific meanings, but the sounds and vibrations they make hold a special significance. Yes, "Vajra Guru" literally means "Diamond Teacher", because the teacher has attained a pure, indestructible form of enlightenment. "Padma" means Lotus, because Padmasambhava literally means, "the lotus born" . And "Siddhi" roughly means "enlightened power" that Padmasambhava was famous for as he was a MahaSiddha of Vajrayana Buddhism.

  • Amitabha Buddha,

  • Yes and when HE came in Tibet after the return of Shantarakshita to India, HE subjected demons who were created by the Bonpo priests. After that HE build the first Tibetan monastery, Samye;and the most ferocious of those spirits was called Pehar.A very ferocious spirit 3 faces 6 arms and he went into a spiritual war with Padmasambhava, was defeated and his energy was sealed inside of a urn and housed inside Samye monastery.

And he sworm to help the growth of Dharma instead the destruction.

  • @nhocazn This is not the Tibetan pronounciation. So it should not be called a Tibetan mantra. Tibetan pronounciation is: OM AH HUNG BENZRA GURU PEMA SIDDHI HUNG
