I know you all hate to hear this, but I actually have an issue with Paul's constitutional stance. In 2005 he passed a bill that would deny federal courts jurisdiction to hear claims that the states violated the free exercise or establishment clauses. While it would be constitutional to pass such a bill, doing so does not respect the constitutional scheme of separation of powers, or respect the First and Fourteenth Amendments.
Actually, I don't mind hearing about this at all. In fact I appreciate hearing any news about Dr. Paul particularly by those who appear to show an interest in reading bills by congress. I'll look it up later and read more about.
But let me ask this... if a guy deals with 400 bills and sponsors even a couple you don't like, how does that compare to the obverse- most propose, sponsor and vote all day long on unconstitutional measures.

It's very true that his followers vary a lot. But I don't know if he realizes why he is so popular. It's not so much his views, although those are very good, but really that he's an honest politician that actually has principals.

I find it very funny how surprised the national media is that people actually want to hear what the people they're going to vote for have to say about where they stand on the issues, instead of the 30 second sound bites and attack adds on the other candidates. If their was one message you should have taken away from Katrina, it should have been: "You can't rely on anyone to take care of you but yourself."
FEMA was a government social program that was a disaster. People knew it existed so they made the mistake of believing that someone else would make sure that they were taken care of, and they were met with disappointment.
Have some pride in yourself and some faith in others. Quit worrying about micromanaging peoples lives.

Spread the message to all meetups and all supporters. We need to get a date out through Youtube, through the meetup groups -lets say November 15. Everyone must wear a Ron Paul hat preferably (in the Northern States the cold weather may not allow proper branding by tshirts). We need to increase Ron Paul's base with more branding. Everyone must wear the hat from November 15 until the end of the voting period. Everyday until- say March. We need to bring in more voters.

Limited government! Sounds great, but seven years of right-wing Republicans have enlarged the federal government by 50%. Ron Paul would be different, but enough to knock out every other power vector in Washington? No. People are greedy and power-hungry for a reason. The guy who setup the November 5th website that got things going was on Alex Jones yesterday (still playing on shoutcast until the live show today).
He doesn't care about getting thanks or whether or not Ron thanks him in person--he did it because he cares about America.

I know you all hate to hear this, but I actually have an issue with Paul's constitutional stance. In 2005 he passed a bill that would deny federal courts jurisdiction to hear claims that the states violated the free exercise or establishment clauses. While it would be constitutional to pass such a bill, doing so does not respect the constitutional scheme of separation of powers, or respect the First and Fourteenth Amendments.

Actually, I don't mind hearing about this at all. In fact I appreciate hearing any news about Dr. Paul particularly by those who appear to show an interest in reading bills by congress. I'll look it up later and read more about.
But let me ask this... if a guy deals with 400 bills and sponsors even a couple you don't like, how does that compare to the obverse- most propose, sponsor and vote all day long on unconstitutional measures.

He's still my favorite Republicn candidate, by far - perhaps my favorite candidate overall.
I wish I could remember the bill number - someone identified it on another YouTube video and I looked it up. BTW - "you all" did not refer to you personally, but to my general sense, from comments on other YouTube videos, that people hit the "thumbs down" button a lot if anything critical about RP is said.

I think so too, but his skepticism about the possibility of Ron Paul winning serves to undermine the campaign. If people are led to believe that Ron Paul doesn't have too much of a chance, in some ways, it essentially becomes that.
