  • @MrMrtapeguy Hey U found out the same way the rest of us did, thru Unbelief that this is the same Lou Gramm of the 70's/80's. Due to his medical condition, his body got way out of wack. U have to look real close at his face to tell it is the same person & voice. We are all in shock when we first see him here & do not want to believe it is the same Lou Gramm, but it is! It is amazing he can still sing after that kind of surgery! Lou is a cool dude!!

  • Apologies, upon researching this it IS the real Lou Gramm. Apparently his illness changed his voice too...what a shame.

  • Keep rockin' my friend..thanks for the memories with Foreigner....God bless

  • I don't look like I did when I was in my thrities either. Do any of us? And it's not about what a person looks like. How shallow! This man rocks to this day. I love him and admire him for being a born again Christian

  • I don't look like I did when I was in my thrities either. This man rocks to this day. I love him and admire him for being a born again Christian

  • We all change with age. Some looks the same, but not all. I'm more concern heart changes than looks!

  • Lets get it straight, and I feel I'm the right nam to say so, this band was an 70-80's AOR band, and they did what they did 10/10 along with the likes of Boston,Journey,Supertramp,Yes etc, all these artist's aren't 25 anymore, they perform because ppl still want to see them even if they can't do it properly anymore, for me Lou sound is Foreigner, but the new lad is a fantastic singer as well, so don't slate either of them, one created, one continues it, or would you rather it didn't exist?

  • Great to see you Lou,keep on rocking to say what you have been through you still sound fantastic.

  • Holy crap....

  • Lou sounds great in this video! The sound quality of the video is definitely subpar but not unexpected from an video camera being that close to stage.

God Bless you, Lou. One of the greatest frontmen ever. For me personally, it goes

    1. Plant

    2. Mercury

    3. Gramm

    4. Daltrey

    5. Jagger

  • what about perry...

  • even after his so important health problems, Lou Gramm will always stay in our minds as one of the best voices for the last 30 years. OUR RESPECTS MR. GRAMMATICO - Love you forever !!!!

  • To ilovelou2...I got tickets to see "Foreigner" in October '08, and you are right!! The billboard I saw advertising the show INCLUDED Lou in the picture, but, NO Lou! My friend and I left... And, to rocky4432901...Dude, you need a hobby! You are 100% wrong. There is only ONE Lou Gramm. Get over yourself. Rock on, Lou! Love You!!

  • I hope you asked for your money back!!! Lou's got a new cd coming out in May!!!!

  • It is a travesty that Foreigner is touring without this man Lou Gramm. I will NOT support a band today like Foreigner or Journey (no Steve Perry) without the original lead signer. To me, it is just not the same and I don't care what the similarities are.

  • Part of the confusion could be that this new "Foreigner" is touring, and all the adds on the radio have Lou's voice singing, but we all know that when you go to the show.....there's no Lou. Talk about trying to confuse people!! Guess they know with no Lou there's no draw.

  • I am not saying he did not have cancer. But the Lou Gramm you see on this Video IS NOT THE SAME LOU GRAMM FROM ORIGINAL BAND. I WILL PROVE IT TO YOU. Go to Ticketmaster, type in LOU GRAMM & YOU WILL 2 DIFFERENT BANDS. THE FAT FAKE ONE & THE ORIGINAL LOU GRAMM.

HEY, YOU KNOW WHAT I AM GOING TO DO, I WILL TRACK DOWN THE ORIGINAL LOU GRAMM & HAVE HIM TELL YOU HIMSELF.

NOTE: IN THE INDY VIDEO CLIP, YOU CAN TELL HE HAS A MEDICAL PROBLEM & HE IS SKINNY.

  • You are wrong! this is the one and ONLY Lou Gramm! he did not have cancer, he had a benign brain tumor, this and the meds to treat it caused weight gain, you must be thinking of Mick Jones current touring band of foreigners that he calls Foreigner! Lou Gramm is not touring with them, that is some other guy, not Lou!

  • @rocky4432901 Please, please, please don't be a jerk.......this is Lou, rocking it out after working through major adversity.

  • @bartolemeo after doing some investation work on Lou Gramms medial condition, I must say "I was wrong"! it is Lou Gramm singing after major brain surgery. amazing he recovered good enough to still sing again. He still have that very good voice!!

  • @bartolemeo after doing some investation work on Lou Gramms medial condition, I must say "I was wrong"! it is Lou Gramm singing after major brain surgery. amazing he recovered good enough to still sing again. He still have that very good voice!! The medical problem sent his body way out of wack, but not his voice. Sad to see it happen to him.

  • @rocky4432901 This is NOT Lou Gramm. It's not just he doesn't look the same he also doesn't SOUND the same. I doubt this is the Lou Gramm band. Lou has one of the best voices in the history of rock - this is NOT him.

  • WRONG!!!

  • GUYS WAKE UP! This guy in this video is NOT THE ORIGINAL FOREIGNER LOU GRAMM. GO to TICKETMASTER and you will find their are 2 LOU GRAMM BANDS - 1 with this guys face in this video & the other withTHE REAL LOU GRAMM'S FACE ON IT. AND do not tell me a bunch of BS about chemo change a person' looks. I am sure it does, BUT THIS GUY IS A TOTALLY DIFFERENT PERSON.

  • dude his change in life has been documented over and over again. this is the same lou gramm of foreigner fame. it is YOU that need to wake up. sometimes the boring truth is stranger than fiction. the boring truth is that he got cancer, got on chemo and gained a ton of weight. it happens to lots.

  • he had a brain tumor, not the big C God bless LOU

  • MIDNIGHT BLUE

One of the greatest songs ever written and sang.

  • YOU ARE SO RIGHT!!

  • He is a legend & one of the greatest singer of the decade.

  • ..changes.. ok ..BUT WE ALWAYS LOVE OUR GREAT LOU GRAMM !!! RESPECTS MR. GRAMMATICO -God bless !

  • Nice video! Seeing Lou brings back lots of memories. He was always one of my favorite singers. Thanks for your postings!

  • Life can be so cruel .... LOVE LOU GRAMM FOREVER !!!!!!!!

  • Miss Eliza, you have some awesome videos posted and I thank you.

  • Your welcome, I am so glad you enjoy them!

    Lou is awesome!

  • Lou Gramm WILL ALWAYS REMAIN AN IDOL, A GREAT ICON. God bless Lou ....

  • Anyone giving Lou crap is a worthless and weak scumbag.

  • Lou, still rockes!! The operation was 19 hours!! My relative had this surgery three weeks ago and is not expected to make it. geri st. clair hores, MI

  • You show talent and the amazing ability to captivate an audience of great numbers and continue to give 100% of yourself, I am proud of the strength you show in your music..Way to Go LGB

  • Great older Big Lou Gramm!!! Forever!!! Nice performance yet!

  • Look, there is no question that Lou looks and sounds drastically different. I still sometimes cannot get over that this is really him. The visual is so hard to reconcile with his former self. But, I know that this is because of the effects of brain surgery and the medication he takes to stay alive. Is he in tip top form vocally and physically? No, of course not. He looks a little worse for the wear, but his true, hard core fans simply do not care. They love him and admire his courage.

  • keep your dirty ideas away

  • What is sad, is that you pick on his looks! There is nothing sad about Lou Gramm, He had a Brain Tumor removed in 1997 and he is doing great! He is still out there performing for his fans, I seen him again 3 weeks ago, and he still ROCKS!!! Lou is not 30 anymore, he is in his 50s and I think he looks GREAT!!!

  • @ElizaJane6 It is sad what Lou went through. He was just at an auto auction this last month (Mecums Auto Auction in St. Charles IL.) and auctioned off several of his classic street rods. Thank God the guys is still alive after all he's been through. I was shocked when I saw the transformation. The tumor and recovery really took its toll on this once great voice in rock n roll. Keep on rockin Lou!

  • @purplehouse26 sad? hell, unlike you, he probably celebrates every day of life after all he's gone thru.

  • Lou Gramm, Greatest rock singer of all time. Great ballads, great rock. I thank him for keepin' on when others would have given up and quit. As long as he's singin' I'll be there to listen

  • Lou is rocking hard his voice sounds better with every event. A "GREAT-PERSON" I have to admire his inner spirit, his band of brother's give %110 at the shows, we all thank-you we all thank you for the momories.

  • I apologize for last comment.did'nt know he had serious health problems...just thought he'd let his self go.He's doing good to still be with us.

  • I had no idea lou had let his self go so badly.I know he has some age on him now...but for goodness sake man have a little pride in yourself!I'm not a health nut by any means...but that was shocking!

  • REV on LOU!!!!!!!!

    Sounds GREAT

  • Lou's performing at the Cleveland Rock N Roll Hall of Fame for a benifit May 10th, 2008 and I also he heard he's going Christian Rock. I don't know if alot of people know this but Lou's been a born again Christian since the 90's I believe. And if you ask me, I think his Christian faith may have played a roll between the split with him and Mick...just my opinoin.

  • i am sure it has, and while i am not a christian at any level (follower of Islam). I have to admire that he put his faith in God, and God helped him through a most difficult time.

  • Saw Lou a month ago, it was Fantastic!! These clips don't do him justice. I'm hoping he'll come back real soon, I would LOVE to see him again! Love Ya Lou!!

  • "running all night from lake ave. it a piece of cake if you know what to do". lake ave. is in rochester n.y.. it runs down to charlotte beach. it was a hot rod mecca. i used to hang there with my 72 white challenger. this is an awesome song.

  • Lou is the man!

YOu are the master of rock vocals.

Bless you brother and keep on rockin!

  • This video just goes to show he still sounds great. Rev on the red line is one of my favourite foreigner songs. Lou still sings it with the same fire & passion he always did. Nothings changed, Lou Gramm is still the voice of rock. Thanks to the guy who took this video, I really love it.

  • Lou Gramm always was and always will be the greatest rock singer of all times. No one will ever be able to touch him. Lou is a true hero and he's still out there doin it after what he has been through. Whether he sang better before is not the issue. What is the issue is that Lou Gramm is 'the man', always was and always will be.

  • I love Lou, but greatest of all-time? Here are three that are definitely better without question. Anyone who loves rock n' roll will agree. 1. Freddie Mercury 2. James Dewar (Robin Trower) 3. Paul Rogers

  • Lou's voice once had the ability to cut like a razor. Time has not been kind to him. I hope he can make a decent living performing with his own band.

  • Lou is still a GREAT singer, and better then a lot of others out there!!!!! I have seen him twice and will see him again. LGB is awesome! Lou sings his heart out! and he has many!!!! fans that still love him.

  • I'm not putting him down, but facts are facts, reality is reality. His voice is hoarse, lack of breath and he can't hit all the high notes. Have you even seen him performed in the 80's and 90's? His singing is 80% different now. He used to be great.

  • Lou still lives in Rochester and is performing as good as ever. The video above doesn't really do the performance justice. Saw him in the Summer of 2007 as well and he was in tip top shape! Really was. Didn't expect it due to his recent health history but he is doing great.

  • Holy cow....I had no idea all of this had happened to Lou. I've been a fan of him and Foreigner for damn near 30 years. I hadn't seen or heard him in a long time, so I was shocked when I saw this. I gotta give him credit for going out there and singing. Although, sometimes it's not really a good idea. Look at Van Halen and Led Zeppelin. They were once great, but it's time for them to quit. They don't perform live well anymore. Sticking around too long can taint one's legacy.

  • Lou was sick for a LONG time, he had a Brain Tumor. He has recovered but really has never been the same. He was and IS fantastic!

  • No more comments. He will be forever a fantastic great vocal.

  • To be honest I didn't know lou had gone to this level. I knew he had brain surgery, but I didn't know this would have been the result. I thought he would have been somewhat slower, his songs a bit softer, but for some reason I didn't picture him to look the way he did. Don't get me wrong. Kudos to the Grammatico, and may he keep going, but I just didn't think this would be his present condition.

  • My mom and my uncle knew him when he lived in Rochester, NY. They actually "raced" with him on Lake Avenue. I wonder if my mom was one of those women "waiting" as it states in the song...LOL

  • Wouldn't it wonderful if he got better?

    I wish you better Lou.

  • What a voice !!!!

  • what's the big deal? Lou still looks and sounds great.

  • and that's just true. - No comments.

I like the voice, the man, the music.

  • I still enjoy Lou also. You never know what life has waiting for you. One day you are young the next minute... well the young people will see what happends. The point is to don't let anything stop you from trying.

  • Sorry it is really bad sound here, I just ADORE this song. And yes, I can`t get enough of Lou`s voice. Stupid diseases, to ruin a voice like that, darn life! But Lou, I love you man, keep on singing, keep on giving us your spirit through the microphone!

  • Just saw them here last Sat.---great show--God bless him---Love you, Lou !!!!

  • saw them November 10, not bad, thye were pretty good.

  • Awesome!! Go LOU!!!!

  • Is that really Lou Gramm?? wow?

  • I know.. I know. What the heck happened, Lou?

I realize that we all get older, and that nothing can always be the same. But DAMN! Somebody needs to step back away from the starchy foods and avoid the diabetes train.

Still, it was a decent outing.

  • What happened was a brain tumor that damaged his glands. His thyroid doesn't work well now and the meds caused his weight gain....not food. Imagine how hard it is for him....to be skinny all your life and gain weight practically over night and there's nothing you can do about it. Let's try to be kind ok?

  • You are absolutely correct. I didn't even begin to think about other causes for the radical change of appearance. Upon review, it all makes that much sense now, that puts the whole performance under a new light.

Even for normal folks, it takes guts to sing for your supper in the first place. And now, with the hand dealt upon him by his own body, I'd say that he is doubling down, and carrying on in spite of it all. Bravo Lou!

  • It's ok. I did get to see Lou with Foreigner back in 94. Tall, skinny, with that of curly blond hair. His hair isn't even curly anymore. Medicine is supposed to make us better, but it can also damage our systems. I applaud Lou for still having the courage to struggle with health problems and still go out there and do what he loves. I'm sure it's not easy for him. But the love for him is undeniably still there. :-)

  • I love that song! thanx for posting it!
