Having attempted this myself I can tell you that the poodles would figure out what was going on after the 2nd dog falls to its death. Then it becomes an exercise to try to grab the terrified poodles as they try to run away from you. The movie makes it look so easy.

@CP661Penguins Er, those aren't pillows. It's a pyramid of poodles. Presumably the pile would eventually reach up to the window, at which point they would sort-of be able to fly a little bit.
Trinidad Silva was killed in a car accident during the fiming of UHF, his role was supposed to be bigger. Truly sad story. This is one of the funniest parts of the movie, thanks for adding it.
