mcrkingash, I say get it man. I havent got it yet, but I plan too tomorrow. Skate was a lot of fun, but I miss the Tony Hawk games. I've owned and played every Tony Hawk game, but when I got skate I told myself I wouldnt buy Proving Grounds. Now after awhile I just miss playing the TH games. They may not be realistic, but they're fun. I grew up playing them. I still like Skate better though. It has great, realistic gameplay, but Tony Hawk games are better in terms of story and features.

Each game have it own style and it's ups and downs.

Skate really "grinds" the line of realism, while Tony Hawks have a more arcade style, a very good story while Skate not, and also got a full video editor while Skate you can just see your replay.

But I think i will be at the side of EA in this fight if they have made Skate for PS2(they are going to make one for Wii and even DS! They are going to be called Skate It!).

I'm not sure about the size, I just have PS2 version. On PS3 and XBOX360, the cities are connected so they are bigger and, I think that this means they are very big.

On PS3 and Xbox360 they are very good, I already played Project 8 on PS3 and it is good, and Proving Ground is better. But in PS2, Wii and these other consoles it sucks.

If you going to buy it for PS3 or Xbox360 then buy it; but if not, then don't buy.

Oh my why do they persist in that non-realistic way, they have lost so many fans with that.

It's always the same, they can renew the concept but they don't want to lose their trashy aura, which doesn't actually have to exist to skate.

I think EA has done a so much better job with "Skate", they managed to put style, freedom and skate-style together and thus bring skateboard video-game to a new level.

That's why I won't buy a THPS game any more.
