ahahhhhh, that happened too me once and I asked the same question. The tupiidddd dog bit my poor little hand. The dog thought it was a piece of fresh meat. It hurt like shit but I screamed inwards, but growled ferociously back at the dog and the poor little doggie got scared and ran away ahahaha. This part of the movie always reminds me of that. I am a big fan of Peter Seller
Legendary scene!! What's funny is that you'll find that a majority of the hotel receptionists in the Swiss Alps were at one time exactly like this. Plus, smoking was allowed. They've all long since passed, and 'oh' how the world has changed.
