@carouselwings Just know your lines as soon as possible, so you can work on your character and your interpretation of the piece. Never, ever, apologise for ANYTHING in the audition. If you're late, don't worry. Walk in there and belt that piece out to the ends of the room. Don't worry about getting a line incorrect, because while you still have to know your lines fairly well, the person auditioning you is usually the director not the writer, and they never would have the piece with them.

nowadays its not about how much talent you have. its about if you have a unique or exotic look that separates you from everyone else. and of course if you have a great look that the director thinks its perfect for the specific role. if your acting isnt top notch-easy fix! they take you to acting classes!

how do you get to an audition and like how do you get the lines?

Hey umm, I have a question... Do you have to memorize like ALL of the scripts and stuff at once? Or, are you allowed to look at the script booklet while you are auditioning?

@Vansk8erO8 You are allowed to look at your script. BUT, only do so when it is absolutely called for!. I know it is very boring to memorize lines, but trust me, when you nail them...you will feel soo bad ass when you walk in that audition room cause you know you are gonna knock their socks off!!!

what do you mean?

i applied for it in a meeting.

i went to a college opening evening where they told me about different courses etc.. i found that i'd be intrested in the first diploma for musical theatre.. then you sign forms, then you get letters telling you the dates of the auditions and you go to the auditions etc..

it should tell you on forms or letters the directions of where to find the auditions.

I got in to the college this video helped me a lot! :)

What about when it comes to guys and hair? More specifically facial hair? It's probably not an issue but I always wondered that and wondered if shaving my head could be a good thing or a bad thing.

personally, even tho i'm female, if i were a guy i wouldn't shave my head for an audition cos guys hair doesnt cover their face usually anyway, just keep it short and wat if the actor needs long hair for the movie, then they'd say no straight away, so keep it short but not bald length.
