  • Sticky exterior door handle Smart 450 (53 Reg).Removed door handle as per instrudtions. Found operating cable's VERY fine clear plastic coating running inside outer black cable had shifted on cable & creased, not allowing cable to run & operate fully. Only option: CAREFULLY scrape off creased coating leaving cable bare.Plenty of '3in1' & grease & handle operates fine. Remains to be seen if cable will now be prone to rust or fraying (23Feb2011)- in which case bite the bullet & buy new handle!
