It's amazing how your deep knowledge of four different arts can be understood so deeply that they are, essentially, transferable: what appears to be different concepts to achieve the same aims. It makes me wish I knew more about the different arts, but of course, learning takes time. I'm glad all the learning you've done is being transformed into new, useful knowledge, and shared with those willing to learn.
The Tai Chi is often about a term referring to polar opposites and the concept of yielding can be thought of as only concealing the internal-hardness. A sensing of another person can feel painfully hard even though the person thinks of their own-self as yielding. Energy will often remain in motion on its own yet attempts to stop it will prevent sensing where it is traveling to.
