@missdest1 a pole shift will only possibly wreck our electronics. It is still there when it shifts and it takes an EXTREMRLY long time. Also the pole shifted before in the human races history and we are still there. But get away from the river.

Okay you missed oil pipes and fields, that could destroy water supplies and blow up major reserves. Geothermal energy is also an issue. That is where we have drilled into the earth deep enough and are using that heat to produce electricity. A major earthquake would turn it into a volcano. Also heat. Heat causes forest fires so be in relatively cool and wet areas if possible. One last thing. I do not believe anything will happen in 2012 because there is no proof.
