  • Robin was right.

  • Nah. Robin meant, H and then 2 Os. He meant the letters, not 2 Oxygen molecules.

Like, in O-HO, there are 2 Os, right?

And he said, "H two O."

And it sounds like H2O, which is the chemical symbol for water.

    You guys....

  • He did say "H2o"

  • somebody failed their Science test

  • Robin said it right, that it's the chemical symbol for water, but it IS 2 parts hydrogen and 1 part oxygen, if you want to be "chemically correct". Therefore, 2 H's and 1 O.

  • The number comes after the letter. So Robin is wrong. "H2O" is "HOH"

    "HO2" is "OHO"

  • It's a riddle you fool. H2O would be spelled out as H and two O's. Robin was 100% correct.

  • Robin IS CORRECT!!! .......They call him the Boy Wonder.....NOT The Boy Wondering.

  • One H Two O's in oho One H Two O's H two o's H two O H20

  • Robin was right water is H2O

  • Robin was right he said: "H Two O , the chemical symbol for water"... your correction is incorrect!

  • Robin was wrong.

  • H 2 O, the chemical symbol of water he said H2O--- Man, robin is right, you are wrong!

  • one of my favourite shows

  • The cast and crew phoned in this scene. Way too funny!!

Check out the dangers of dihydrogen monoxide too- some scary stuff!

    HO2 - hydroperoxyl

Hydroperoxyl is responsible for the destruction of ozone in the stratosphere, and it is formed as a result of the oxidation of hydrocarbons in the troposphere. - wiki

    Wah, Wahh

  • one h, two o's

    robin's error? no.

    lazy writing? you bet.

  • Jeff is right. That's how I saw it too.

  • You guys are kidding, right? That O-HO is not a chemical symbol representation or even a molecular diagram. It was a textual clue that allowed Robin's reasoning to go from "O-HO" to "a word with H and 2 Os" -> H2O. You guys are seriously not confounded by that, are you?

  • @randywong Yeah, but you have failed to really look at what Robin was presented with. If it's "O-HO," then it's two "Os" and one "H." The formula for water has one atom of oxygen combined with two atoms of hydrogen.

  • @Lavenderblue333 again, that is presuming that O-HO is and can only be taken as symbolic representation. It isn't. It is just a textual clue.

  • I think I just peed myself laughing

  • thats an oxygen bonded to a hydroxyl group

  • robin is right, please review your chemistry and get back to us.

  • "Holy Hydralics!!!" :D

  • Boy Wonder ??? More like Boy Blunder.

  • robin is correct. as always

  • Robin Is Right... In The Riddle He Says " An H And Two O's " H And 2 OO's Is H2O ... Come On..I Think You're Stretchin' It A Bit To Far Now. You Can Stop Now.

  • @mrgrober H2O is the chemical symbol for water, so where's the error? Well, "gargoyles" should have an apostrophe. There's your error.

  • @Jeff98177 Batman said 2 o's and an H. That would be HO2, not H2O

  • @daytraderfbf If you look at it this way: "H (and) 2 O's", it can be interpreted as H, 2 O or H2O. Ya gonna argue with Batman?

  • @Jeff98177 you gpt me there ! :-)

  • heeheehee

  • @APennyW. You may be a chemistry professor but you would make a lousy assistant to Batman as you would never crack any of the Riddlers clues because you don't understand the concept of riddles.

  • Robin was correct. It was a cryptic riddle. H + OO reads as one H and two 0's therefore the answer to the riddle is H20 or water.

  • Isn't this what rappers say all the time? Sounds right to me...

  • It's not a blooper. There were 2 O's and one H. "H, two O".

  • This is not an error, he is right bcuz is a charade... it's not bcuz is OHO that means 2 Hydrogens and 1 Oxygen. It's bcuz OHO is H2O which is water.

  • fail

  • Robin is always right. Also this time.

  • Yeah really, it's called a RIDDLE. It is funny when you think about it, but it's really not a mistake in the writing, just wordplay.

  • hay dood its a riddle not a chemstry quistion

  • Robin was right,

  • That's not what he meant. Please, Robin's not that stupid...

*at least i hope you don't think so*

  • It was the 60s! And guess what? It was a huge hit and made LOTS of money for everyone involved. Way more than anyone ever got from the comic book sales.

So...I think maybe they knew what they were doing. Entertainment is not about pleasing some social outcast viregins who think that if they called them "graphic novels" that women won't laugh at them. It is about making money by entertaining as many people as possible. And that is what the original Batman series did.

  • Do this many people really not understand the concept of RIDDLES?

  • This was funny.

    I can see both sides.

In chemistry it would be incorrect, but when you word H and two Os without the "and" part it will be spoken. H 2 O, which would be the correct result giving a clue to water.

  • He says two "O"s at first! For those who didn't get it!

  • H2O has 1 "H", 1 "2", and 1 "O" dummys

  • that's funny!

  • I believe that HO2 is a form of hydrogen peroxide. Soooo... fail, Robin. Fail.

  • @yumichan899 Somebody else who is missing the point. JEEZ, thousands of kids out there would have got the points! What does 'oho' mean to you? ie What has got one H and two Os? Answer...H2O...the chemical symbol for water. THE SYMBOL!!!!! NOT the chemical makeup of water. YES we all know that H2O means two hydrogen and one oxygen, but that doesn't change the fact that when you write it down or say it, it is one H and two Os.!

  • i think this being a riddle you dont have to be 100% correct, but by whats it SOUNDS like. H 2 o's. you can read that as H with /2os i get the gag. But by real terms he would not be correct. But this is batman. they are playing with the words.. One H 2 o's. i get the riddle... besides if the had written it any other way it would be to easy to figure out.

  • this still cracks me up. I love Robin. He just... makes me laugh XD

  • I guess Robin should have said "An H and 2 Os! H2O: The chemical symbol for water!" Maybe then some of the persnickety folk here would be happy.

  • you are a freak

  • this video is a fail. robin had it right.

  • This is in the top five of the most ridiculous debates I've seen on you tube yet.

  • Anyone who thinks this is a mistake is a COMPLETELY idot, as is the submitter of this video. He is the RIDDLER. So, he was leading Batman and Robin into saying H and then 2 Os which becomes H2O...Andthen...the RIDDLE of this is that when you say it fast like that, you are saying the chemical formula for water. Again...anyone who thinks this is a mistake does not understnad hte concept of riddles, and it is HILARIOUS that anyone has the stupidity to mock those who actually get the joke.

  • The number of people not getting this blooper is funnier than the number of Os in H2O!

  • the clue word "o ho" is two O's and one H while water is the exact oppisite two H's and one O. and i never passed science class but im sure in chemicals the number means that many of the previous letter not the next.

  • It's a bad pun. Sure the 2 in H2O refers to the H but it's a play on words of H2-O and H-"2O's." Besides, out of all the far fetched riddle decoding, the movie was the worst.

  • does anybody just stop and think, matter not what the O-H-O means, thats a bloke in tights running around with a boy who still goes to school, tut tut tut batman

  • I say hydrogen to go. Get it. H2go. as in toys r us. lol burgers2go. H2 o mfg. lol

  • These comments are all great examples of how many people can see the same thing in different ways. What I don't get is how some can't seem to see it both ways. In the context Robin interprets what he is seeing correctly, as it is very much a Rebus Puzzle. However, taken out of context, it is also technically wrong as noted by APennyW, I am glad it was posted. As I said, a great example...

  • nice try dummy but robin said h2o: h & 2 o's.

    keep searching.

  • @AmericanPowerBase

    lol

    He says H2O.

Its written with 2 "O's" and has an "H" in the middle, if you understand what they are saying and how they are reading it, it makes perfect sense.

    There's an H and 2 O's .... see now?

You have to read into it, the 2 O's make the 2 for the Hydrogen and the fact that they are O's finishes it, H and 2 O's, its painfully obvious lol

If you were reading it the way he was it would be the chemical compound for water just written in riddle base.

  • you fail hard

  • no Alfred its a word puzzle, a riddle.. like showing the word Red under the word pants.. it wouldnt' read " pants above word" it would be "red under pants".

is red under pants. It showed 1 H and 2 Os H and 2 O's it wasnt in order or it wouldn't have been a riddle. Thank god you weren't Batmans sidekick.

    So Riddle me this..

When does someone posting a video clip and acting like they are some kind of genius equal a total failure?

    When it's this one..

  • Sounds like: "What does a HO mean to you, Robin?"

I'm sure that Robin wouldn't know what a HO could do for him.

  • You're taking it too literally. He wasnt saying that water has 2 oxygen....he was merely reading what was on the board. Because he saw an "H" and 2 "O"s...he thought of H2O. It had nothing to do with which chemical had how many parts. Kinda the same way you would spell something phonetically...same idea.

  • its a phrase containing an H and 2 Os =H2O. overthinking it to each letter represents each element is your downfall in your reasoning.

  • he is not saying that there is 2 oxygen...he is saying that there is (H and 2 O) h2o

  • If you think about this a minute... They were are deciphering a RIDDLE from the RIDDLER. It is a riddle not a chemical test question.... H and 2 o's.... H2O. it is simple if you think like they were back then.... they new we were on a sugar rush or a koolaid binge! lol Holy A+ Batman! Robin correctly solved the riddle....

  • Dont people pay attention in science? The number on the right of the symbol is how many elements it has

    H2O

the 2 is to the right of the h

    so its

    2: H

    1: 0

So APennyW (ZOMG alfreds name) is rite :]

  • the chemical compound of water is 2 of hydrogen and one of oxigen but the clue was right in the series to specify water just as reading it it read like this h2o which mean letter h and two os not two hs and o!!!! dont you think? H two os OHO

  • HO2

  • Uhhhhh, Pretty sure he SAID it right, no matter if it is backward on the board. That's why it's a riddle.

  • riddle me this. you're all idiots.

  • it was a play on words. it was meant to sound H n 2 O's.... like this Say "I'm Sofa King retarded" a few times fast... did you get it. So no the boy wonder did NOT mess up.

  • 0:16

    Incorrect, boy wonder!

  • penny your looking at it all wrong... the word was left as a riddle. they where not leaving it as a definite answer.because if the villain had left it and the answer wsn't H2o...How did they solve today's case?

  • uhhhh.....YeAh

  • Hahahaha... I love the fact that everyone's trying to explain it.

  • he was right... AH

  • It's a riddle... hence, "The Riddler". It's meant to be literal, not mathematically calculated. Damn nerds! If you listen to what he LITERALLY said, the riddle is correct. So sad when someone like li'l gay Robin confuses someone in a witty process. Sad, sad, sad...

  • @nikoorsini I think the show would have been better if they had a villain called "The Diddler."

  • wrong boy blunder, now take off your tight underware and show us why they call you the boy wonder

  • @wurly164 They called him that because it's a wonder anyone would ever confuse him with anything like an actual male.

  • Why can't Batman ever figure these out? What's up with that? How how did Penguin go to being Rocky's manager? is Gotham City near Philadelphia?

  • "What does a hoe mean to you, Robin?"

    LOL

  • @darrellkaiser1985 "Well....." How can Robin answer this??

  • @darrellkaiser1985 it's hoo not hoe.

  • @darrellkaiser1985 that's exactly what I heard as well, lol!

  • Holy lady luck i was right what do i get ?...you get nothing....you lose god day sir :P

  • Mr Slugworth?

  • Thats what he said

    H 2 O Oo

  • Isn't it time that you removed this vid since it is wrong to say that he was wrong.

  • Seriously, you posted this as a blooper? Wow....

  • Thats not what he meant.. Its like a Phonetic spelling of a word. H O O becomes H20. 2hydrogens 1oxygen.. You cant take the clues literally. In one episode "Lie Berry" becomes "Library"...Guys, lighten up...

  • Uh, yeah. There's no PUZZLE if it's written H2O, or HHO... but I think ya got that already.

  • Those shorts were too tight.

  • Isn't it ironic....don't you think?

  • How was Robin wrong?? The chemical symbol of water is H2O and that's what he said. The riddle had 2 Os and 1 H but that's why is called a riddle. So what's the problem??

  • @5277407 true that.

  • you dummy

  • And in addition, he said "it was a word composed of H and 2 o's. (or H20).

yes Robin figured out the riddle correctly.

  • Boy wonder was correct because he said "H2O the chemical symbol for water". Now that is not what it said on the board but he was scientifically correct in his words.

On the board it was O-HO. When batman asked "what does o ho mean to you" I had the impression of "what does Oh Hoe" like a slut. Hahah

  • Well, they couldn't have gotten away with saying that on TV in 1966. Although in 1968, Dick Martin called himself "Big Dick" on an episode of "Laugh-In." Dick Grayson never tried that. I guess we can blame the writers of "Batman" for that... and for so much more. What a joke the series was. But character creator Bob Kane didn't sue, so I guess if he was okay with it...

  • Did Batman just say "What does a Ho Mean to you?"

  • wow... u just proved that robin is gay, he cant even give a nice answer xD

  • Yeah. H and 2 O's. He was right. Its the riddler, its a riddle, not chemestry.

  • @ninjaofthe9seas Actually, I think that episode was the Joker, but yeah H and 2 O's- H2O Batman! It's bat-logic.

  • @ninjaofthe9seas true.

  • Robin said H2O - water...idiot

  • Holy Hydraulics Batman LOL

  • he's talking about the word.. in oho an h and 2 o's which is an anagram for h 2 o

  • robins right moron h20 is 2h and 1 o

  • No a water molecule has two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. Nice catch ApennyW.

  • bad catch the word had 1 h and 2 o's that was the riddle H2O just like he said

  • but in o ho there is 2 o's and one h

  • big mistake

  • You take it too literally, Think!! what has 1 H and 2 O's? H+2+O just piece it together not the actual chemical properties of water! He just put the pieces together to form the chemical symbol for water...the riddle doesn't apply to the actual chemical make up of water just the symbol..we know its 2 parts hydrogen to 1 part oxygen thanks for the science class mister wizard. But you missed the point of the riddle. 2 O's and 1 H thats all!!!! Pieced together makes H 2 O.

  • @LikeTheTruck eh....no offense but that's a stretch. I think the producers of the Batman abortion (also known as the Batman TV series) were morons.

  • @jedispy You are right the 1966 - 1968 Batman TV show is horrible. Made by morons? Sadly no. The show was actually made by intellectuals who researched (yes they read actual Batman comics) and had no respect for comics, Batman, or comic fans. If you want to see a good show made by the SAME guys watch the 1966 - 1967 the Green Hornet. WAY ahead of its time, skip the p.o.s. new movie from Sony.

  • @srb9 Actually what you say is true. From what I have heard they intentionally made it hokey as it was. Being of an anti-establishment mind they set out to mock it. Sadly they took something pure as Batman to spread their hippy values.

At least that's what I heard.

  • @jedispy well they weren't hippies so much but intellectual snobs but you get the idea.

  • @srb9 jedispy,i agree with you on the green hornet. for years i liked batman regardless of it's dorky comments and stuff but someone i met at imdb had the tv show on dvd and he recorded it for me and i watche4d it and i thought it was 10x better.

  • @Paulgr yes the Green Hornet tv series is 10x better the Batman tv series, thanks.

  • He said; " H2o the chemical symbol for water"

    ... Isn't that correct?---What's the gag?

  • Look at it this way. Answer this question...How many Hydrogen atoms does water contain? Where is that on the chalkboard?

  • I'm not a scientist (no kidding!)

So I wouldn't be able to explain chemical compounds and such.

But the fact remains, the Boy Wonder said, and I quote; "H2o, the chemical symbol for water"--- Is this incorrect???

Is the chemical symbol for water not H2o?

...Whatever was written on the chalkboard was written by one of those nasty villain types,...NOT written by the boy 'blunder,'

    I mean wonder!

    So this question remains;

    'What's the gag!?

    I mean wonder

  • Batman asked what does O-HO mean

Robin stated a word composed of two O's and one H

Then he correlated that incorrectly with the chemical symbol for water, because water would have been two H's and one O

  • Who or what villian wrote that on the chalkboard?...Was it the Riddler?

Well then you have to hand it to the boy.

    He figured out the riddle.

Put 2+2 together along with an H & an O and solved the clue.

...Way to go Boy Wonder,... Way to go!

    ( your turn :o)

  • @APennyW

Yeah... it was a worded thing, i think you may be a little off here.

H two O's souuunds like H2O which is the symbol for water, as you know...

  • @APennyW Wrong, any child can tell you water is comprised of on hydrogen and two oxygen molecues, hence, H2O, duh.

  • @APennyW I guess you can't read villain riddle, it makes perfect sense lol

  • @APennyW you must be bored, its a play on words and is correct in the context it was said... a h and two os, simple.

  • @APennyW No he didn't! He said that h2o was the chemical symbol for water. He didn't say anything about how many parts oxygen or hydrogen make up water, just that the chemical symbol is 'h 2 o', ie one H and two O's, which was what what written. I'm guessing it was something written by the Riddler, NOT a chemist.

    YOU Sir, are an idiot!

  • @APennyW Except he DIDN'T correlate that incorrectly. When he said it out loud, what he said WAS the chemical symbol for water.

That is the whole point of the RIDDLE! Riddles often use puns.

The only one who got it wrong is you for not realzing the simple concepot of riddles.

  • @oldedrum H2O is the chemical symbol for water but Robin said H+O+O instead of H+H+O at least that's what I understood.

  • @APennyW It is indeed 2 hydrogen (H2) 1 oxygen (o) + H2o

  • i think he is half right half wrong because he said 2 O's and 1 H which is wrong for water but H2o is the right symbol for water.

  • @oldedrum ya but o-ho has 2 oxygen and 1 hydrogen

  • Heh

  • Robin was thinking of it as H and 2 O's thus he got H-2-O

    You Idiots!

  • True but water is H H O, that is his error

  • But if you think about it.....he's thinking "A 'H' and 2 'O's" thus H2O

  • but Robin is supposed to be like...smart. So he would've gotten that.

  • true (HHO) is the symbol aka H(2)O but he isn't wrong because if there was 2 x 'H''s on the board the play on words would not work because it would read 2 H O or O 2 H which sounds retarded (I just realised how old this post is)

  • @APennyW if you are jumping to conclusions and overthinking the riddle.

  • @APennyW Not if its, "H, 2 O"

  • finally robin isnt such a brainiac after all he still a dweeb though

  • OHO

    O H O

    H2 O

    this is stupid

  • This scene is a play on words however, Chemistry 101... O-HO as written on the blackboard is NOT the chemical symbol for water. Water has 2 Hydrogens.

  • well that shows how much you know, einstein. The number comes AFTER the symbol it means, so H20 is hydrogen 2, oxygen 1.

    Noob.

  • nerds

  • They're not nerds; it's primary school science. Unless you're younger than 13 that should be common knowledge

  • no i got it,doesnt mean i have to argue about it

  • has someone made a vid of all the "holy" catch phases

  • yea, this same person

    its in the related

  • lol. very good !!!
