  • Do you have a link to the site that sells the "ATS" pouch? I tried a search and got way too many results...

  • how much was is the whole ting worth? like a guestamation?

  • That range trauma kit is awesome! It's more like a tactical EMT bag the way he has it setup...

One question, why does this video stop at 8:21? I want to see what else he has in there...

  • @Hiluxtaco

It doesn't cut out for me.. try it again, might have been a glitch?

  • @GearBuyersGuide It's working now.

It kept stopping last night. Even after reloading the page....

  • Nice..the way I like it.

We have a group for jungle survival and bushcrafting and I carry similar items.

    Well done.

  • Very impressive kit

  • Nice no beautiful kit. i am 14 and in april i'll be 15 and i am going for my Jr. EMT training and i so want a kit like this. that is absolutly amazing. i have an adventure medical kit not. actually two of them. the AMK Guide 1, and the AMK fundamentals.

  • I have searched high and low on the net for German made EMT scissors and can not seem to find them. Anyway you could get the information from the owner of the trauma kit as to where one can buy them?

  • OK I will ask next time I see him

  • Thanks mate! Your a life saver! Every time i run the search i get china made crap that looks like it's stamped out of sheet metal. The ones in the video look like they are steel.

  • It is very important to have a FA kit that is stock within your lane and scope of practice. I am glad you have a set up that works for you.

I will have to disagree with your assessment of the SOF-T or CAT. They are extremely easy to apply to yourself when required. I am speaking as a BTDT...they work they save lives. I have taught a lot of soldiers Combat Related First Aid. Not a single soldier has ever told me that they were hard to put on!!!

  • The timing of this video is perfect. I just joined an outdoor range here in NJ and Ill be shooting a hell of a lot more now. I have a basic trauma kit for my BOB that Ill be keeping with me at all times now and you gave me some great ideas. Thanks for posting!!

    5/5

  • we all keep a large bleeding / airway kit in our range bags (not as large as this one) but many extra bandages, etc

  • although they say its not necessary for you to do rescue breathing, what their really doing is trying to encourage people that have no idea what their doing, to be productive. yes, just the compressions is better than nothing, but i would still do the breathing. with out it would be the equivalent of holding your breath until you were restored.

  • How much would a kit like that cost?

  • Do you know the overall weight?

  • good thing you have this at the range with you... better safe then sorry right?

  • I have a trauma kit similar to this that I compiled for my outdoor adventures. It's now time for me to get educated. Can someone recommend a good method for an amateur to get some first aid education?

  • Start with your local Red Cross and see what classes they have available. Also, see if there is a local volunteer rescue squad you can help out with. I learned a lot as 3rd man on a van years ago.

  • this si sthe kind of gear review i like to c ..vary in depth..and love the fact hes trained and showing all his cool toys...great vid again

  • that is a really goood vid..loved it...

  • very interesting. total cost of entire system?

  • must be a lot, but I have no idea

  • Vary nice video as always. Anyway you can post a full list of Company's who make US made pouches and tactical gear? I hate china made crap. Can you also tell me what company made the black EMT scissors you have on the inside of the pouch all i can seem to find is again china made crap. Thanks again and keep up the good work.

  • We have done some of that, we featured many of the US companies we use and we like .. look through our last videos

  • Did you do a review of the black EMT scissors? I have not found the video and I would really like to pick up a pair for a EMT friend for X-mas?

  • no, that was the first time I saw those EMT shears w/ O2 wrench, He said they are made in Germany, that might help locate them

  • nice kit..u should sell these, I'd buy one.

  • Way overkill.

  • When seconds count there is no such thing AS OVER KILL. He as a good little kit there a little of everything. Little BLS mixed with some ALS.

  • LOL you are telling a paramedic who attends multi-day tactical firearms classes often held in remote locations that he carries too much trauma gear..

    classic

  • It's a Firing Range Trauma Kit. If something goes wrong there, it's going to go really wrong. The range I use is a soild hour from a hospital and probably twice that from a trauma center.

  • Nice vid. Interesting extra's because he's a paramedic.

  • We thought so too, see how / what a pro carries was interesting to us, and we arte glad he gave us a this quick tour of his kit

  • what is a turner kit if that is how u spell it

  • A medical turnikit is used to slow down/stop large blood lose.GSW's ( gun shot wounds) Amputations and others. It's used as a last resort or when you have no time to do the other steps. Most of the times using pressure points and pressure on the wound will steam the bleeding. Or packing the wound. It's been years sense my first aid training. But back then they told us to release the Turnikit every five to ten minutes and to write the time applied on the persons forehead.

  • thanks very much

  • YIKES .. do NOT release a tourniquet !!!

Once applied your blood and muscle start to die, releasing it can let bad stuff back into your blood stream

ONLY apply one for a severe wound, only apply one if you are trainined on when / how to use it

Thanks for the comment, I remember being taught that too, but that was a long time ago

Good oppertunity to recomend a refresher course, check with your local Red Cross for First Responder classes

  • This was many many years ago. They said it has something with keeping the amputation site alive so it would make reattaching the limb easier lol no idea. That's just what they where teaching back then. Kind like CPR now adays it's something like 30 compressions and now they say there is not need to the breaths. Idk like I said years ago. I may be going for my EMT-B soon so we will see.
