The MKR is LINCOLN's "CTS", the car that gets LINCOLN back in the game in a big way. If that $1B dollars on LINCOLN is going toward finally getting this car on the road then this will be one of Mulally's 10 best decisions ever at FORD.
Dear Lincoln: Please make this happen! Please make a production version of the MKR. No offense, but I'm just not feeling the Concept C. If you market the MKR, I will be the first one in line to buy one. Seriously.
Lincoln isn't going to make it because they announced it. But they should have made it or something like it and kept it looking exactly the same, except make it a two door rather than a four door.
Concept cars are always extraordinary, But by the time they hit the production line they are barely the same car (I.E. Chevy Volt), The real question with the MKR is how much will they change it. one things for sure, that roof will not stay, cuz it wont meet safety standards unless they make it plexiglass and that wouldnt be cost effective.
@hanscholo actually the glass would probably be an option. The mustang which this car shares the platform with is offered with a glass roof as an option.
wonderfull design, amazing grill and look very safe, but with oil... hell; please make this car with a electric motor .. you have the last technolgy just cut the oil circle...
DON'T CHANGE THE OUTSIDE. Also the interior lighting and tasteful use of LED is excellent. The design on the roof has to go. I gather its to signify the Lincoln symbol but it reminds me of the front of an Edsel.
this is deff bettr looking than any cadillacs out right now and a twin turbo 6-cylinder shouldnt make it run as high as 100,000 and they might keep the all glass roof because 2010 'stangs are made with them
hopefully the production version of this one isnt going to be ugly like the mkt became ugly. Its beautiful now. DONT CHANGE THE OUTSIDE!!!! its absolutely beautiful.
Very nice car. But the laws of automotive nature say production models are never as cool looking as the concepts. So I'll hold off final judgement until if and when the production version of this car comes out.
This is the car that should have been made!!! Not that crappy baby mobile the mx.
Where are the power cars for guys (REAL MEN) (from the BLUPPY gen)?
The would have been the ultimate luxury power car for the young at heart male driver who remembers and believed the motto; "There are those who travel... and there are those who travel well!"
This is what they were talking about! They should have built it!!
Is there anyway I could still get one made exclusively?
Lincoln has to be one of my favorite car companies ever. I thought that the Town Car was amazing but if you give the guys at Lincoln some time they will always come up with something even more amazing, that is a reason I like Lincoln.
Lincolns are good cars. I've had 3 Town cars and they run beautifully. One has over 200,000 miles and gives me no problems. A mechanic once told me Town cars are Ford's well kept secret.
yeah they r when my mom had one and it was time to go in for the tuneup the mechanics didnt even know what to look for cause nothing was really needed
The only thing I'd change in the interior is the center console running from front to back. On the outside I wouldn't change anything. The rear angled shot reminds me of the Bentley GT - at 1/3 the price (projected). I'd buy it if it were available.
Are they actually going to build this? I thought it was just a concept car. If this goes into production AS-IS I'd bet on a price tag over 100K. That's not a bad thing, Lincoln/Ford's reputation could use a car like this. Love the engine bay.
I hope so, and I hope it's not over $100K. If it is, I don't expect them to make a "Ford" version based on the same platform - I hate when car companies do that - and most of them do.
Cheap? I'm sorry, did you even WATCH the video? Did you even SEE the interior in that? Are you freaking BLIND?! LMAO! That is THEE most technologically advanced looking interior I've EVER SEEN.
You're just a dimwit that talks out of his ass! Plain and simply put. :)
I want this car and I want it now. Perfection. Whoever said american cars sucked. Looks better than half the other import concepts out there. I'd drive this anyday. Although that middle stack running to the back is pointless and limits front and rear passanger space. Nice
Yeah, this looks awesome. I think this shows Americans are coming back with good style in our cars, competing with Europe. Look at the Cadillac Sixteen... not nearly as futuristic on its interior than this Lincoln, but still an awesome design, with nice interior.

If this car went into production as a concept, there would be no need to buy Japanese or Korean.

this is the nicest car comming out. i'll take two. It would be amazing if it was under 30grand.
gasshole82 4 years ago 2
Definitely not under $30K, but depending on the engine and other options, I'd expect it to be between $55K - $85K.
They obviously can't keep the roof the way it is [although it would be awesome if they could], but everything else could be pretty much the same.

Wow, I like it! But it could be longer. Especially the trunk.
