  • The railroad crossing at the end of the station operates on a delay. The gates raise once the train arrives at the station and then rises to let cars pass. The conductor turns a key at a key box marked "Highway Control" to activate the gates when the train gets ready to leave.

  • Most railroad crossings I have seen that are right at a station like this would have the gates down, even if the train is in the station.

  • the multilevel cars are just now starting to come in right now, I think there are three sets running around on the NEC during weekdays,the NJCL will get multilevels eventually,you just have to give it time,the reason why the NE Corridor normally sees new cars first is becuase it has the highest ridership and additional cars for additional trains are needed to increase capacity,and the cars on the NJCL arent too old,the Hoboken Divison Diesel Lines are
