  • There is no such thing as an atheist. Everyone knows who God is. Some people just choose to deny Him. The next time your favourite hockey team misses a game winning shot, half of the people in the arena will jump up and shout out God's name without even realizing it.

  • Are you a lesbian?

  • For all the people that say she pronounces the city wrong, are themselves the ones that are incorrect. I am from here. She is saying it the correct way.

  • For someone who lived close to New Orleans for 8 years I find it incredibly cute how you mispronounce the city :P

But keep up the good fight!

  • Actually she says it correctly.

  • NAARLINS

  • Yeah bcz churches are known for their poor wi-fi signals....man atheists have such a poor view of the church I bet they think we also use a 1800s printing press for the bibles.....If your so concerned go to a Starbucks....

  • Well... the views of the church are that of the dark ages, so can you blame her.

  • Comment removed

  • More relevant than ever, I don't know what you are talking about...fools

  • Oh snap I missed it...

    I live in New Orleans...

(Btw please pronounce it New Orlens but I am thankful you did say Nolens... I dont know where the hell people come up with that...)

Also I would like to see some of the videos if that is at all possible.

Lastly I would like to thank you for your videos. Before I saw them I always declared myself atheist but always thought that maybe there is and maybe I should try to convert... You gave me the confidence to go all of the way!

  • I hope lightening doesn't come out of the sky when you try to walk into the church, lol.

Anyway, have fun and I'm sure it'll be a good trip.

  • You say it "New Or-LENS" in the south. No leans. Especially put emphasis on the "Or".

    : )

    Hope it was fun.

  • Even though I'm atheist, I like to get benefits from my local church like movies, food, discounts on travel, etc. It doesn't hurt anyone, my minister knows what I do, so it's okay. Also, you don't need a tan. You have really nice skin.

  • well, i am probably a little late, but maybe you can put aside, atheist/christian debates aside and just concentrate on building houses.

  • Wow, you pronounce that city wrong like a ton of times.

  • Well, jpcrecom, maybe 'cause she ain't a southarn. ya'll know what I'm sayin'?

Back in the ol' cabin in Los Angeles, where we'all would have our belly-washers and play our bangos, we'd pronaunce it like how she does, kay?

Now if ya'll excuse me, I got a gator in my bathtub again.

  • That's true - churches have such bad wifi. It is the holy spirit - always causes bad interference. Saying a short prayer might help. JUST KIDDING - Just a joke.

  • Please keep me updated. I work in the post-disaster mental health response in New Orleans. My organization uses the Gentilly Presbyterian church as a base. They are really good people who do a lot towards the rebuilding efforts. I hadn't heard about your efforts through the New Orleans Secular Humanist Association. Let me know if I can help in any way. Maybe I should get more involved. I always like getting together with like-minded people. Thank you for coming down here to help.

  • i would lik kno wat the vhristain say ad wat kind they ar

  • If you are doing this because you have an honest need to help, I can respect that. Just don't do it to show up the theists. I regularly volunteer with the local youth drop in and food bank despite their origins with the ministry, not directly in spite of their origins with the ministry.

  • Bourbon Street? Right, Ashley, doing the thing, huh?

  • How about some interviews with the christians you're with, that'd be interesting...

  • I like my churches ancient and imposing. "Jacob's Porch" is just a little too fuzzy-wuzzy for my tastes.

  • Lol. I'm going to be leaving for Shrevesport, Louisianna (a few hours away from New Orleans) April 3rd to go skydiving. We could have seen each other in another state.

  • Let me know if there is any near philly

  • Nice UIUC, my school.

  • I hope you have a blast! New Orleans is a fantastic city! When you get to Bourbon Street, have a hurricane at Pat O'Brien's and tell the back left corner I said 'hi', okay? :-) Ahh... wonderful, fuzzy memories...

  • awesome conversation or uninteligable conversation? because i saw somthing awhile filmed in new orleans these guys were getting all this shit for not being christians, it almost got violent, but thats nothing to what happened to them in alabama

  • Have fun, addict.

I would be very interested in seeing a vid blog on your trip. It would be interesting if you could find a xtian that would be willing to talk with you on camera...

    just a thought.

  • I would love to see some vlogging from the church. Have fun in New Orleans!

  • it would be an awesome opportunity to film discussions between atheists/theists.. maybe we could witness that prescious moment when one of the christians 'gets it' and rips off their cross necklace! lol!

ps.. best way to get em to stop believing? probably the old 'your an atheist when it comes to every other religion, you just gotta go that one god further' line..

  • wanna shoot over to Atlanta and get a drink with me?

  • Yes, I would enjoy following you blog! And thanks for putting an atheist face on good deeds!!!

  • that would not be the atheist agnostics and free thinkers of NORTHER Illinois would it?

  • Yeah - if that's the one at Illinois State.

  • no, I was thinking of northern Illinois university

  • Hah! You said "meeting" instead of "meeding" (1:02)... the influence is growing... :oP

  • Videos of the conversations with theists would be nice.

  • too bad i live a million miles away

    (down here on Chile)

  • Too bad for me. I live up here in snowy Canada!

  • Don't worry, Jesus provides great wifi.

  • I'd read that blog. I vote YAY!

  • Videos, videos, lots of them. Do it. :D Sounds like you're going to have lots of fun. :D

  • so hot!

  • Awesome stuff you should definetly vlog the trip

  • If you're that gorgeous in HD, I can't even begin to fathom how gorgeous you are in person. Perfect lips, eyes, teeth, hair, smile, everything.

And sure. Take as much video as you can. You know we'll watch. :) I think it'd be interesting to see the reactions of the righteous towards the evil sinner in a together type of environment.

  • I grew up in New Orleans, make sure you go to Cafe Demounde and eat some beneghts for me. Yum! Hey there is more to New Orleans then Bourbon street, have fun, wish I could meet you there.

  • IT'S A TRAP!

  • I love the dialog your dialogs with Christian groups...And love your channel in general...Wish I could be in New Orleans...The weather and the conversation should be very interesting. It's too much of a hike from the United Kingdom though, but I will be eagerly tuning in to watch.

    Great stuff!

  • definitely video blogs!

  • Ashley, I am so impressed at the amount of charity work you involve yourself in. You are one amazing person. You must have amazing parents too. You set a great example for all of us, both old and young.

  • ::: bluses :::

    Thx Zaph!

  • record everything! can't wait;D

  • this isn't quick capture? Awesome!

  • Woot! :)

  • From Bourbon Street to Esplanade

They sashay by, they sashay by

  • Would it be too much trouble to ask for some more pirate or German beer girl videos? I like beer and I like pirates. Sadly I have met no German female pirates who drink beer.

  • Great Stuff! you should take the time to visit YokeUp while you are down there.

  • Ponchatoula, 51.9 miles, a one hour drive, according to google maps.

  • justintempter

Yep that is close. Also YokeUp has done a few videos in New Orleans because his delivery business takes him down there often. It might be real easy for him to just swing by where she is staying to say hello.

  • Eeek!

Now's his chance to convert the YouTube damned! xD

  • You know - I thought about it. If he's open to it... maybe I'll try and get together with him. :) Call me crazy, but it could be really interesting to see what he's like in person you know?

  • healthyaddict part1

WOW! you REALLY ARE brave! I have been an atheist for over 50 years and I am still swayed by folks like YokeUp. They use all the positive ideas and sentiments in our civilization and they claim that they all belong exclusively to Christians and you cannot share in them without being one. Yokeup's charm and persuasiveness is powerful (It didn't just come from jesus btw read his personnel management book the unchained Worker by Jeffrey C. Petkevicius)

  • Healthyaddict Part 2

You can buy his book in paper back on line for as little as $2 used. I found it well worth the investment to gain insight into the man. IMHO yokeup is not a Bad or evil guy...he is just a guy who has made it a career out of motivating and manipulating people. I wish actually he was on our side but he is not.

  • YES MOAR WANTED!

  • VLOG! VLOG! VLOG!

  • Record a many conversations as you can, luv. And v-log it too.

  • COME TO CANADA!

  • I was just in New Orleans last month partyin on Borbon Street. Apart from the nightlife the city is a shithole. And I live in Youngstown, ohio so I'm familiar with shithole cities.

I'd like to see vlogs of discussions with the christians you're going with. Have fun on yo trip!

  • If you think something's interesting, I'll watch it.

As an aside, I think what you're going to be doing is the perfect thing. Interesting conversations? Oh yeah. I think so. Enjoy. :)

  • crap, I'm gonna be in New Orleans in about a month

  • I vote yes.

  • You are very cute.

  • I'd like to see that. Would be interesting to say the least.

  • yes, yes, yes.....

  • Have a good time. :)

  • Hi Ashley,

too bad you guys aren't coming out towards Lafayette. don't think I'll have time to go out to New Orleans, but I would like to meet you if I could. If you have the time I would suggest trying to catch the 'New Orleans Bingo! Show' They are a local band and they're amazing; they do not disappoint. Anyway have a safe trip, have a great trip

  • Other atheists in Lafayette? *gasp*

  • mais, of course;)

  • yes.

  • Drink a hurricane for me. ;-)

  • Oh plenty of that will occur - hurricanes and hand grenades. :P
