What is sad is that probably 99% of America and Europe don't realize that the great poetic traditions, including the whole tradition of love poetry that the West believes it 'invented' in the south of France in the 1100's with the Troubadors was actually flourishing more than 600 years before that, in the ghazals of Persia, Arabia, India, Pakistan, etc. These great cultures did it first, and the West followed....look to the past to find great riches...
