Gray/Grey treefrog (Hyla versicolor) calling

I found a female (I think) in my basement, sitting on the edge of a laundry basket. She was so cute. I thought she was a green leaf at first! When I tried catching her, she hopped once twice and was splat on the dryer door. I put her in a container so I could take her outside and she started turning a gray tinge in the container. I think she ended up in my basement partly because of the heavy rains and flooding and part because our old walnut trees got a massive trimming.

@Hylidae21 A lot of my videos from more than a couple years ago were shot with the Canon S3IS (a mega-zoom point and shoot camera). Recent videos were shot with a Canon DSLR or a Panasonic HD camcorder. Good luck!

Seriously these things are annoying. We noticed them a couple years ago and thought they were owls but after some research we found it was a frog. At first they were cool and only a few were around, but now there's at least 50 near my house. They chirp ALL NIGHT. My mom screams at them to shut up >_>

my male gray tree frog does that EVERY SINGLE NIGHT!!! i think i just found eggs in my tank a little bit ago, not sure yet tho. it just looks like a little sack. i guess ill just have to wait to find out!!

I caught a male and femal in my backyard, and they had at least 20 tadpoles. 14 survivied and turn into frogs!

2 of them died, but the rest are fine

OMG! I love it. I wish I could get that close to mine when they call. Mine seem to only call when they think they are hidden. If I get close they stop.

Mine used to do that, until every time he would call, I would go see him, make noise, talk to him. Now, if he's calling, I can pick him up and he just keeps singing. It really cool to see.

Only males do that sound and only they inflate their body to amplify it so females can hear it and then reproduce.
