  • It warmed my soul to here that song again. Thank you!

  • Son of God the Lord? 100 % YES.....The Christians Jesus? NO fucking way.

  • Anyone know which which Church this is?

  • I don't want to be mean but, the beginning guy stunk...

  • never thought id find this one glad i did

  • WOW I haven't heard this song for years. The old gospel songs never get old

Thank you Lord Jesus for not calling the angels to take you home.

  • I know how it feels to be betrayed by someone you once thought was your best friend. My best friend turned his back on me in high-school and became the right hand man of the worst bully I have ever seen. I eventually stood up to that bully and in my heart, I forgave my friend for turning his back on me. What hurts me the most is that my friend was blind to the fact that I’m one-hundred times the man his evil “boss” could ever dream of being. The sinner refused to repent in this case. ;-(

  • ay bendito zzzzzzzzz

  • This is what i like. a complete mix of people.

    Very good!

  • @WOSHScuttie i really don't understand how this comment is valid, but since you asked, there are several references to musical instrments in the Bible: Psalm 33:2 "Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre." (that is a direct command) If u want a complete list of scriptures, i suggest you actually read your Bible. Please stop this conservative view of faith in Jesus; it has really gotten old...

  • @WOSHScuttie

The Bible does not say to simply sing. It says make a joyful noise unto the Lord. King David was blessd for playing, singing and dancing. The angel Gabriel is supposed to welcome you with a trumpet. Are you going to tell Him No Thanks?

  • @Tree409

The way David's playing, singing and dancing is far from nowadays way of dancing playing and singing,.,. It's supposed to be in SoLemn way. also True with how they play cymbal, trumpets and other instruments. It is supposed to make you feel GOD, not merely feel GOOD. Jazz beats can arouse you, sentimental beat can make you feel sad and emotional, Pop/Rock beat can make you energized. Music holds your emotions. Sing with spirit in understanding even if you use electric guitar or drums

  • "conservative Christians are corrupt, wicked, hypocritical, and naive. they're more likely to go to hell than the ppl they judge."

What can you say but Amen!! Sadly, this is often very true. But, it is because the people you speak of are not real Christians to start with. No real Christian is corrupt, wicked, hypocritical, and they are most certainly not naive. There are real Christians out there. But, by Christ's own words in Matthew 7, they are VERY hard to find.

  • @eufaula1 That's why there is grace... praise Jesus for grace because without grace... all would perish! PRAISE JESUS FOR GRACE!!!

  • Hallelujah, amen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • snappy..

  • @kyllian12 im not saying anything about if God cares about how we worship. im saying that ppl keep becoming athiests bcuz of the conservative point of view on christianity. think about it, u go to church ur entire life, being judged by hypacrites and when u turn 18 u want nothing to do with christians. the conservative christians are corrupt, wicked, hypacritical, and naive. they're more likely to go to hell than the ppl they judge.

  • I have been looking for a vocal version of this song. As a kid I can remember the "Rebel Quartet" placing this on an album my father purchased. London Paris was the bass singer. We saw them live with the Blackwood Brothers.

  • that was my mum that commented on it, dont get me wrong its ok but i dont believe in thta sort of thing

  • what a lovely song i love jesus so much beth

  • Just don't see church choirs and good music like this very often anymore - thank you so much!

  • Incredible and beautiful.

  • personally i think that we should move from this type of "worship" songs to a more modern type of music. see if we keep using this type of culture, the more ppl are going to have the same steriotype that christianity is just a religion where ur supposed to kill gays and meet once a week to compare clothing. if we dont change the christian culture to a more modern type then ppl will turn away from God more often.

  • i am glad he died for me and you.

  • iballroomd, I totally agree with you. There is another site that is soft and beautiful.

  • it would be way better with out a lead singer. just an accapella chorus.

  • @iballroomd amen. thats the only way to sing.

  • Thank you for a trip down memory lane. This song was sung several times in the church where I grew up. It's another one that has fallen into obscurity with the popularity of praise choruses and worship bands.

  • Great job, really like this song.

  • correction, some how when i pasted this end the begging of the last verse came out on top, they did not sing the third verse. Happy Ressurection Day!!!!

  • This song was sang at my Dad's brother's home going, I think it was intended to all his step grandchildren to remind them what Jesus did for them. He was a very respropective man, Told me that we mortal on earth are here as a proving ground to prove what we are made of for our reward in heaven, I though that was such an awsome thought

  • To the howling mob He yielded; He did not for mercy cry.

    FYI 3rd and last verses

When they nailed Him to the cross, His mother stood nearby,

He said, "Woman, behold thy son!"

He cried, "I thirst for water," but they gave Him none to drink.

Then the sinful work of man was done.

The cross of shame He took alone.

    And when He cried, "It's finished," He gave Himself to die;

    Salvation's wondrous plan was done.

  • Hello honeygoes!!!! thanks for posting the missing part of that song...

  • My great-grandfather wrote this song in the 1950's. He came to know Jesus as a country singer, as he penned the words to the second verse of this song. He just passed away on September 14, 2008. It means a lot to me to watch this and read these comments. I pray that people will continue to be drawn to Christ through these words for years to come.

    Brother Don

  • I just came back from a friend's funeral And they sang this song "He Could Have Called Ten Thousand Angels". the thing about this song is that it is true because Jesus could have called ten thousand angels to save him.

  • amazing song ... extremely well performed

  • I remember singing this song in the youth choir back in the 70's. As the other poster commented, had to believe finding this great song here. And this choir did a tremendous job singing. And the music is powerful and moving.

  • I can't believe I found this song!! :)
