the airforce guns are nice, i usually will not spent more then 300 dollars on a air riffle, because i usually go with a small caliber centerfire like a .223 or 17 HMR for the same price as some top air riffle brands. my velocity limmit is 1200 fps, after that i usually by a center fire small caliber air riffle. i do like the sam yang riffles to that shoot 9mm - 50 cal pellets, looks like prices have come down enough for me to get one of them soon.
i was wondering if plastic melts in barrel, i remember short stubby yellow lead free pellets made by promethius or barreta that melted. promethius now uses nylon i think. it looks like you are useing skenco greens, or RWS hyper velocity lead free pellets wich are zinc, aluminum alloy. aluminum is used because zinc breaks easy on impacts with out it.
@drewnickel thanks for comment, the plastic skirted pellets are nylon now, back years ago they used yellow jackets that were not nylon, so they did melt in barrel or would have plastic strings in barrel from the riffled barrel shreding them. nylon and teflon are good because they can handle extreme friction and temp. the bad batches were metal wadcutters housed in a yellow plastic shell and makers were barreta and promethius, theses were only good in under 600 fps guns.

@1942nuclear it will heat up from friction, but it will not melt
