  • World Premier The First God Particle Dark Matter Halo Photograph Has Appeared type link in search

  • so CERN created the worldwidewank network....amazing

  • actually no the military was using the internet before them, but cern just made it available for the mass public pretty much

  • CERN will discover particles that will exceed the speed of Light and they will use those particles to create a Time Machine. Using the Time Machine they will create a dystopia by 2036

    O.o

  • @gcvorcaro1 I'M NOT A TROLL, YOUR A TROLL, SO NANA BOO BOO

  • haha metallica website

  • @metalairplanes I thought you were making fun of it because it was hacked or something... Immediately I went to see metallica . com if the site is still on.

  • 3 minutes of hapiness.

  • Would that be the discovery of Chaos ?

  • GOD IS THE BIG BANG, HE'LL BE HERE SOON. GOD BLESS

  • @CRABBYBAG haha God is nr one fake of the world

  • In Theory......could antimatter be what we call oil? While looking at antimatter are we really just looking at oil but on the smallest scale possible......I could wrap my head around this infinitely and when i look at all of this together its like putting this huge puzzle together . A puzzle where Science/Evolution, Faith/Religion , and Politics/Illuminati all fit together. Ancient scripture refers the to the "venom of the Serpent" and the Sap within the tree of life ?SAP=Sub Atomic Particle.

  • @DigitalAscension No. You are completely in wrong trails :P Antimatter is exactly like matter exept its inverted so that if matter is +3452 antimatter is -3542 and so on... Its hard to explain but let me put it like this: if everything that is now matter, would be antimatter and vice versa, the universe would be exactly the same. And don't believe everything in youtube....

If you dont understand read stephen hawkings book: The short history of time.

  • Can someone please explain to me why such an experiment was green lighted when other scientists are saying there "could be" strangelets/dark matter realeased into our atmosphere. Some say when the machine is brought up to full power, and the beams collide, the result could cause a blackhole to form? If thats so why attempt this? I mean, arent blackholes planet killers?

  • Is this project canceled? Please answer. Thank You

  • a typical way of trying to brainwash people with great video audits and complicated machinery.... my goodness - web wasn't created by CERN researcher nor was Big Bang part of this research... They present it like they can create Big Bang in this physics lab. then, people just buy into this... amazing.

  • @kjh4him which planet do you live on? an alternate reality? where the web was not invented at CERN? where Obama is not the Prez? where Ghaddafi is Nobel prize for peace? wake up man!

  • @kjh4him Rofl. Nah, you're right. I invented the web. It wasn't at CERN.

  • We are gonna learn that we are made up of waves not particles and what not.

  • cern has been created to open alternative realities, one where the NWO are in power permanently!!

  • lol

  • The environment seems like Google before Google ... for physicists. Is it possible to work there if you're anything less than brilliant?

  • people who call this a waste of money are just looking for something to complain over there are much much bigger wastes of money in the world than this, such as an illegal war in iraq. cern is the place where they discovered a new fucken force of nature for christ sake. and while yes we cud of spent the money helping the need its science that helps the world evolve. what if micheal faraday said no to science and because a missionary ????

  • Experimental physics you say?

I'm more of a thrash physics man myself, though I still like some good ol underground hardcore 80's physics now and then.

    Before everyone sold out :/

  • 11 people were thinking "derp... derp derp dislike derp..."

  • Para mi el Consejo europeo de la reserva nuclear es lo mejor!!! Hay un gran trabajo detras de todas las personas que están constantemente trabajando!! Sois magnificos!!

  • What? Al Gore didn't invent the internet?!

Great work you guys do, just don't blow us up please

  • METALLICA at 2:43 !!!!! I love CERN !!!!!!!

  • @odyssoulis what song of metallica was this? :)

  • FEED THE POOR

  • 2:43 Metallica :D \M/

  • This is why... We're definitly going to blow ourselves up.

  • fantastic video..if anyone knows the music used in this video, let us KNOW! awesome! reminds me of the "old" days

  • @akkassikder27 It's called "Proton Pump" and it's mine. A couple of days on my synth...

    Silvano (director of this clip)

  • @CERNTV fantastic job Silvano, the video and the music goes very well..is there anyway to get hold of your music "proton pump"? thank you

  • what happened to theory, i mean wasn't it the big bang theory atleast thats what i thought. So why are now spending billions of dollars so a man can prove a theory that probrobly isn't right.

  • I saw space ship using the collision of a neutron as propulsion, the most beautiful Blue light I have ever seen since I rich Enlightenment and I saw that it can be reproduced by the mind when you open the 3 eye ,the stargate.have fun and study.bye

  • easy, god created it all.

  • I just want to say I love you CERN! <3

  • Metallica at 2:44 !! The scientists must be headbangers !!! lol

  • LHC? Sounds too dangerous, i'll stay with the THC that are accelerating MY protons.

  • วิทยาศาสตร์สามารถเปิดเผยข้อเท็จจริงที่ถูกซ้อนไว้

  • The Big Bang "THEORY" is STILL just that, because it is so highly doubtful that such a thing happening could give us exactly what we need to live by sheer coincidence. The Sun and Moon landing in just the right positions to sustain earth for people, plants and animals on land and in the sea. All the work on the collider is a total waste of time and money. Trying to disprove God is futile.

  • @Zile77 And what's wrong with God, whichever is your favorite one, making the Big Bang happen? why do you always see science in antithesis with religion? there a lot of particles physicists who are very religious. The point is, don't take the Bible or Q'ran or whatever word by word. Even the Cardinals say that. The Genesis was written 3000 years ago, when that was an easy way to get it understood. Today we know better how things happened, but still, It was perhaps all controlled by God

  • @Zile77 theory = model describing the FACTS, it doesn't necessarily mean hypothesis/guess and we've measured the big bangs radiation

  • @Zile77 Are you being serious, or is this a joke?

  • The next couple of years is gonna be big for particle physics and science! Can't wait

  • CERN is doing the great work, keep it up, I mean their accomplishment will change the world, CERN CERN CERN!! Cheers!!

  • "No, so holp me Petault, it is not a miseffectual why-

  • CURIOSITY KILLED THE CAT!

  • On March 30th, the LHC has collided protons head on at the target energy of 7Tev. This starts its research program. Since then the experiments have observed over a million collision events. Particle physicists around the world are looking forward to a potentially rich harvest of new physics as the LHC begins its first long run at an energy three and a half times higher than previously achieved at a particle accelerator. More info on CERN twitter page.

  • @CERNTV

Still no LHC News on the 7Tev events ? Where is Paola ?

Tell her we already miss her :-)

  • @Celeon999A You're absolutely right, but we all worked so hard to put together the media event for the First Physics day, that we all took off for Easter. Meanwhile, Josiane posted a clip on the first collisions in the LHCb experiment, which gives you the atmosphere og the day. I'll get to work with Paola on monday on the official LHCNews (the last one of the series).

    Silvano

  • @CERNTV What is cern's ultimate goal? How can you harness that type of energy, can it be stored?

  • @iceee187 CERN's mission is to study particles, which are the building blocks of the Universe, and to try and understand how matter came to be, out of the pure energy radiation of the Big Bang. More info on our website under tag science

  • man-made machine. why do you need to know all of this? live life.

  • This is Awesome !

  • So, your looking for the antimatter particle are ya? well i hope you dont use it for a weapon. BTW, on cerns stream last night some guy on camera revealed they were looking for antimatter. he shut up after that and was never seen again.

  • @TheUFOeffect

Yes indeed we are studying antimatter, and as a matter of fact we have been producing antihydrogen for a few years now. Unlike some fiction novels and movies want you believe, antimatter is perfectly safe in the amounts we are dealing with, and it holds some of most fascinating mysteries about the Universe and our existence.

  • @CERNTV: doesnt antimatter colliding with matter ceate an explosion or could be used for a weapon. it would all be converted to energy.

  • @TheUFOeffect That is correct, however we only need to produce a few thousands atoms to study it. In order to produce the amounts Dan Brown talks about, you would need billions of years. As an example, TNT is explosive, but you wouldn't blow up a cat if you only deal with a milligram of it.

Read more about it on the CERN website: angelsanddemons - cern - ch

  • @TheUFOeffect ...and no, it could never be used as a weapon, because besides the time it takes to make it, a bomb sufficient to blow up a city would cost billions of billions of dollars. Why would they bother if they already have enough bombs to destroy the World 600 times?

  • @CERNTV: well if you could produce it more readily. maybe you could stor or suspend the antimatter particles in a magnetic field or something like that in a vacuum and release them when a bomb hits the ground. keep your mine open.

  • @TheUFOeffect Lol u obviously watched Angels & Demons

  • @antipopee: actually i have never seen that. but is it good? it looked pretty sick in the previews.

  • @TheUFOeffect Hehe yeah, without spoiling to much it has to do with CERN and antimatter as a weapon.

  • @antipopee: really? i thought it was about some gateway between hell and heaven opening. interesting.

  • sheldon is so fucking bad at this time.. he would loved to be there to watch this thing ahahahaha XD (big bang theory series)

  • 2 hours running stable and clean. World is still here.

If anyone had a decent amount of real faith they would realize that God will determine our end, not man and his inginuity.

    YAY Science!

  • haha You mean to tell me they wasted all that money on a big bang theory GOD HELP YA

  • Let´s see, what tomorrow brings =)

Hope you know, what you´re doing.

    Good luck

  • Oh, that's awesome! At last all bad scum will get punished, I'll gladly sacrifice my life for that!

  • @evgeniy13

Thank you for that, but we rather prefer that you stay alive, and if you're young enough, learn Physics and perhaps join us in our research.

  • @CERNTV: id like to work on antigravity more than particle physics.

  • @TheUFOeffect Antigravity, if such thing may ever exist, would belong to particle physics. That means that if you want to study it, you would have to join us.

  • @CERNTV: i like watching alienscientsts videos and talkwing to him. he says physicists belive the answere may be in torsion fields and electromagnatism.

  • The humam heart gives out gamam wave radiation as it beats. So do the arteries.

  • I swear that's the PS3 sound in the intro

  • Nice video

  • yes and music! wats name?

  • Well done :)

  • Fission kills - life does nuclear FUSION from water. So can we.

  • I really, really like CERN's intro graphics and logo.

Mad science props to your motion graphics designers.

  • Boiling water does nuclear fusion guys!

  • @JonThm how the hell does that happen....

  • @blkvicePU In snow storms, in rain storms, at water falls, in the deep, in animalk blood systems, in growing bacteria: So you do MNF with every beat of the heart.

  • I dont know what the hell you are talkin about. and I think you need to reteach yourself what fusion is

  • @blkvicePU All stuff confirmed by NASA, or taught on my M.Eng. It is fact - live with it! To do nuclear fusion at CERN, give the torrous of H spin, so you get loads of fluid turbuelnce.

  • you are an idiot. direct quote from one of your videos "MNF turns water of steam into molecular fragments, in which case oxygen and helium"

sorry dumbass but thats not fusion, its closer to Fission but thats even grossly incorrect. These are all molecular interactions. The ATOMS are never split or fused together.

You are mistaking basic chemistry with nuclear physics.

besides, CERN is a particle accelerator, not a fusion reactor.

  • @blkvicePU H2O --> He and O + heat

that is nuclear fusion of H! Water falls and your own heart do it. I have an M.Eng., so know about nuclear fusion. You, get educated!

  • i did read that wrong, i was thinking hydrogen when you said helium, so i admit where im wrong there. But this will not replace nuclear power plants based on fission. Not with the correct used or breeder reactors and current Gen III reactors. If you wish to know more about the current state and future of NP message me

Im finely educated, i am a nuclear engineer

  • @blkvicePU Nuclear fusion from water liberates 4 times as much power safely - compared to fisison. It creates no toxic death. And it happens now in water falls!

  • @JonThm toxic death? it doesnt matter. Fission is simple, the infrastructer is already in place, and we have a limitless supply (once the gov't stops being stupid and allows reprocessing) All that is put off my fission reastors is heat. Fission is the way to got for the next 100+ years til the technoloy for fusion can be put into place.

there is not other way to get around it

  • @blkvicePU MNF goes off from regular water and produces He and O. Fission goes off from purified U ore, which is toxoc. And produces very toxic waste. Adn teh world opnyl has 30 years of U left.

  • @JonThm MNF is irrevlevant til it can be proven to be focused into an efficient system to produce enegery.

You are incorrect about the U ore. Its not purified, its enriched(by increasing the amount of U-235 present in the U.) Uranium is one of the most common elements found on the planet. U-238(which is the most abundant nearly at a limitless supply) is used in breeder reactor....

  • @JonThm .....it lines the outside of the fuel core and by absorbing one nutron it decays into Plutonium, which is fissile and also used in nuclear reactors. Fuel supply is not a problem. The laws against reprocessing are whats the problem. Im gonna send you a messdage with some interesting facts about the specs that reactors and shipping containers are built to

  • @blkvicePU Nuclear fission uses MNF. But we can do MNF without any CO2 or toxic death. Read my blog for how!

  • @JonThm Nuclear fusion does not occur in the heart. What are you talking about?

  • Is it just me or does this video have the feel of the post apocalypse reel of film that the survivors find? Your thoughts please...

  • that looks like brian cox at a very young age at 0:56

    could it be?

  • im am very exited and im not even a scientist.

maybe a wanna be scientist :D

    i suck at math.

  • The LHC is back in action! we had both beams running since Friday night, and got the first collisions at low energy yesterday. Will post an LHCNews hopefully later today...

    Silvano

  • The music of life, Silvano,

    an inescapable pattern. : )

  • I'm so excited! Cant wait for it to fire.

  • it already did. We must wait for "the order" to analyze the data properly, which could not even begin until a few months after the first test. (to remove all the cold stuff brr u know)

‹^› ‹(•¿•)› ‹^› it all and stay frosty... Higgs Boson discovered along with graviton seeping to next dimension wooop.

  • I hate the way people think, it is the tv, internet, the culture that is to blame, it is wild, just running on ots own, we live like true immatures, all because we just don't know any better. I hate it. Thats where psychology and science comes in, to change how people live and think. Because the way people view the world greatly impact the world, should we go with president Bush or Obama? this should be obvious, We gotta stop global warming rather than risk a surtain ectinction, hae how ppl thnk

  • wait so what is your standing? do you think that the LHC is good or bad.

certain extinction. bad spelling bothers me, as well as ppl who think that the LHC is going to kill us all. it just shows ignorance

  • im soryy for my spelling, people are very nice to point it out to me every god damn time. I'm absolutely for the LHC experiment, it's been going on for a long time, but not on a scale as large as that, so since there aren't black holes eating up the earth already, why would they appear from the very same experiment on a larger scale?

  • FTW

  • why don't you make a video in greek?

  • I believe that this machine could open a gateway from a alternative dimensions and realise someting strange on our planet.

  • I want to become a physist!!!!cool!

  • At last, the English version! =)

  • like it

  • CERN is epic win.

  • I love science.

  • and in quarks you find preons!

  • Amongst my greatest dreams in life, working at CERN Lab. ranks very highly.

Just remember people, even the simplest of minds can unearth the greatest of scientific discoveries. Never stop looking for your OWN answers. ;p

  • If I could go back... and do a "do over"... I would like nothing more than to be a physicist of some sort. What they are doing at CERN is arguably some of the greatest work that humans minds have conceived.

As of right now I'm a rapper. Yeah. You read that right. lol

But if I could go back...

  • great stuff.

  • I can't get enough of those CERN videos! More please!

  • So many questions, only the LHC can answer

  • Metallica + CERN = True! :O

and the grid sounds kinda like skynet..

  • Very odd title.

  • YEs, they have forgot to rename the raw file. It stands for Cern in 3 Minutes, 2009, and the codec is H264.

  • Not exactly. We did it too fast (while it was uploading) and YT didn't take it...

You're right about the clip. It's a minor update.

  • You don't have a phd so please shut up.

  • Rofl I am an atheist and highschool ap physics student .

But seeing as how you love conspiracy theories, Illuminati and the like, I know well enough your not worth my time. Arguing with you would be like arguing with a rock, your not going to budge.

And the big bang is more or less of proof against god. Since the idea happens to be an Infinite regression.

I know you don't have a Phd because your syntax is indicative of every other intellectual light weight on the internet.

    Try again?

  • @worldoperator:

The WMAP data from 2004 showed the cosmic microwave background radiation at the intensity predicted by the Big Bang model. The universe exhibits large-scale isotropy, and from redshifts, the accelerating expansion is readily apparent. More distant (earlier) galaxies tend to be more spherical, as gravitational models of the expansion expect, and more distant (younger) stars broadly show fewer heavy elements, as expected in stellar evolution models.

    Are these unsound predictions?

  • Hey was that Laurence Krauss at 2:06?

  • Looked like it too me M8.

Have you seen that, well I don't know if it's the latest one but it's the latest I've seen. A universe from nothing, by Krauss. It's on Dawkins's site.

Hate the bloody title though, it keeps re affirming the wrong impression, for the creationists to grab onto. I'm forever trying to correct em that indeed it did not come from nothing, I know when the like of Krauss and Hawking, talk about nothing, they really don't mean nothing in the same way. but I'd expect em to know.

  • Yeah I've seen it. Beautiful stuff!

  • this is where all our tax dollars should be going!

  • I agree, i would rather put tax dollars into research, rather in to greedy politicians pockets and their massive Obama Health Scare Tax Scam.

  • Cloud computing FTW!!!!

  • Could do with a better title folks. :)
