  • The Pharmacist job is to dispense drugs, NOT to interfere in other people's needs/desires. What if they don' tlike the use of Oxy-Contin or other drugs that can be addictive? Do they have the right to deny you your pain medication "for your own good"? If they can't do their job then they need to get another job....

  • -_-; thank god i wont be forced to go to one of them. I love my pharmacist. I would much rather have birth control than an abortion, call me crazy.

  • No other job in no other field claims this "conscience clause." ONLY in cases of religious people against abortion. Sorry, but these pharmacists CHOSE to go into that field. If they cannot do their job, they should LOSE IT.

I was reading about a pharmacist who refused to fill a blood-clotting medicine for a women he *suspected* had an abortion. He called the doctor & demanded to know if she had, hung up on them when they refused to answer. She could have bled to death. Is that pro-life?

  • @snowcherry29 You have every right to go to another pharmacy. No one has taken away your right to kill another human being, if such a right can exist.

  • @FAHayek89 Well, actually, there are laws against killing human beings, so unless you're in the military or law enforcement, you don't have a "right" to kill another human being. However, women have the right to prevent pregnancy. Thank God!

  • Don't want to supply birth control, don't be a pharmacist.

  • The pill does not "murder an innocent life"

The pill tricks your body into thinking it's already pregnant so that you wont ovulate. If you miss two or three pills in a row you might ovulate and then you could get pregnant even if you resume taking pills. Many women have accidentally gotten pregnant this way and there was no harm to the baby whatsoever.

  • That's only partially true, the pill also provides a secondary function that prevents a fertilized ovum from attaching to the uterine wall. The people who say that counts as abortion are idiots though, as breastfeeding has the exact same effect.

  • @Fuctmentality There's no proof that emergency contraception inhibits implantation.

  • Praise be that there are pharmacies for not killing lives! But a "lady" who takes a baby-killing contraception isn't an accessory to murder, she is the murderer. It's the poor pharmacist who is forced to help fornicators carry on their couplings and kill babies. I pray for this nation.

  • Damn those fornicators, and the evolutionists, and the round earth theorists! Burn them all! Witches!

  • Absolutely, I agree with other commenters.

Pharmacists are legally AND morally bound to uphold their oath to protect the public's health, and this is hardly actualized by placing your own backwoods superstitions over the prescriptions of DOCTORS.

  • Pharmacists are morally bound to first do no harm. Pharmacists are responsible for questioning doctors' prescriptions whenever they are not in the interests of public health. It is ALWAYS in the best interest of the public health to not kill pre-born children.

  • How many women have you watched hemorrhage to death from self-induced abortions, I wonder? Don't spew nonsense about society's "best interests" until you know the barbarity of what you're suggesting.

  • The barbarity is that anyone would seek an abortion in the first place. Society is under no obligation to make the murder of innocent children easier for immoral women.

  • A woman taking a pill and having a heavy period is barbaric now?

Learn something new every day. ^_^

  • A pill that intends to murder an innocent life.

  • Always lovely to meet a fellow vegan. ^^

I've had quite a few periods in my day. Guess I'm the next Hitler. :P

  • abortion (surgical or chemical) is murder.

  • Endless repetition doesn't make a thing so, sweetheart. ^_^

  • Abortion is murder. Only Roe v Wade (which was wrongly decided) prevents the states from doing the right thing (i.e. prosecuting those who perform abortions for murder of innocent children)

  • The woman who is hemorrhaging to death wanted an abortion. She's a murderer and it's built in capital punishment. Sounds like the Lord didn't like her rejecting her motherhood. I pray that any woman dying from a self-induced abortion repents and comes to Christ, realizing that abortion IS terrible and that making it illegal would be a blessing upon this nation.

  • How's talking to the sky working out for you, btw?

  • Fine and dandy! One day Jesus Christ will take me up into Heaven with him and the other faithful, and you will be stuck here suffering while we watch and laugh. Ha ha! You're going to Hell and we all know it.

  • Well, I've been good, so Santa's bringing me PRESENTS! Take THAT!

You're just jealous you won't get to spend all eternity in a fiery S&M playhouse, you naughty girl, you. ^_^

  • is this a parody video or is this guy real? He needs to live in washington Hts in NYC. He'll have his epiphany very quickly.

  • Or any impoverished area of any major city! What they don't realize is, that through access to low cost birth control and comprehensive sexual education (none of this abstinence only crap), that that will reduce the number of abortions. Instead these people push to criminalize it and force it underground. Look at how well criminalization works for drugs!

  • I thought people in the medical industry had to swear a hippocratic oath not a hypocrite's oath!

  • Keep spewing "baby-killing" propaganda, and attacking the AMERICAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION. As if anyone was ever in doubt about how backward anti-choicers are.

  • The killing of children is NOT a religious issue but a human rights issue& it is as a "human rights issue" that this battle must be fought.Along with being the organization that is 100% responsible for killing these human beings the American Medical Association is exploiting ALL women by claiming that all of the killing that has taken place so far & all of the killing that will continue to take place into the future is a woman's fault,or as they call it a "woman's choice".

  • What does abortion have to do with killing children?

    Do pay attention.

  • you people are evil.

  • To make absolutely sure that future generations have proof that women are the ones responsible for all of the killing they demand that a woman (ONLY a woman) sign the order of execution before a member of the AMA will perform the killing. That is to say that every child that is killed by a member of the American Medical Association has a woman's signature associated with the killing. Without this "mandatory" signature of a woman (the mother), the child gets to live.

  • yes we are all responsible for our choices in life. the bible says choose life that you and your seed may live. the key word there is CHOOSE. in order to choose something, you have to have more than one option. the prolife position only leaves birth as a viable legal option. i support choice, even if its the wrong choice.

  • First off they are not "baby killing products!" Further its against most store policies and some laws! Also who the fuck is a pharmacist to question the doctors orders. The pharmacist can give a consult UPON REQUEST!

  • So, not only are children being killed by the American Medical Association, but women are being placed in a situation where they MUST accept the blame because it was "their" choice, not a man's. And if you want to see actual proof that it was a woman's choice all you have to do is refer to the millions upon millions of signatures on the orders of execution - each and every one of them belonging to a woman

  • Who is the pharmacist, to question the prescribing doctor's orders? Hichborn's use of rhetoric implies that the AMA is ordering pharmacists to hand out RU486 (usually not the case, seeing as how most clinics provide already it). What the AMA is targeting are ignorant pharmacists who will not dispense drugs like birth control or Misoprostol (an NSAID, commonly associated with RU486) due to "moral objection."

  • ... The issue of "choice" is of a legal and empowerment standing. Women who, for example, are raped, are not forced to keep the child by its father. Also ever medical decision is "their" choice. Before every operation, test, treatment etc, you must sign a consent form. By doing so allows the doctor to treat her. The only time this is null is in the case of minors, and the mentally impaired. In those cases the responsibility falls into the hands of the legal guardian or medical proxy...

  • ... So by denying a woman her prescription, not only is the pharmacist challenging the prescribing doctor and his judgment, but they are also breaking the oath, to protect and provide proper health care, they swore upon taking their job! They may be denying these women the drugs they need to treat a painful illnesses like Dysmenorrhea or endometriosis. They may also be denying women a drug that would prep them for uterine operations such as a D&C biopsy, ablation, or IUD insertion.

  • @skamic88 They are not denying the woman the right to have her perscription filled. She is free to go elsewhere.

The doctor, however, may be violating HIS or HER oath. The Hippocratic Oath states, "I will neither give a deadly drug to anybody if asked for it, nor will I make a suggestion to this effect. Similarly I will not give to a woman an abortive remedy."

  • @FAHayek89 Yes, in small towns there may be only one pharmacy with one pharmacist.

The classic oath says this; however that is not stated in the Modern (and relevant) Hippocratic Oath. This one is outa touch with today's society (for example, doctors shouldn't have to vow to help all men, "be they free or slaves," seeing as how slavery is illegal in the Western world). The one you cited, has doctors swearing they wont preform lithotomy. Moreover you are swearing to 4 gods from a dead religion.
