I have come to realize that when it IS the Holy Spirit, too, I am not doubtful. I know with certainty that it is Him. However, it took me quite a few years to get to this point by following the guidelines you point out, there. Thank you for posting this and God bless you!

Good video - well balanced.

The concerns I have are related more to the less clear areas of discernment. the "manifestations of the holy spirit" or the manifestation of a deceiving spirit. The one I find hard to discern is extreme laughing.

i sometimes wonder if this could be exhibitionism rooted in a need to be loved . Or could it be from God ?

Any thoughts?

Hi Jon,

Perhaps, maybe you are right. The thing to remember is that God uses human beings, imperfect human beings, to work through and because of this there is always an element of 'us' in what He does.

Try to see past that 'flesh' element to see the part that is God.

@jon4242 It's called Spiritual Laughter. Comes from a victory in Christ through the holy spirit. Also, it happens so that the sorrow and anything ungodly will have no choice but to come out when this happens. It's truely wonderful and I have experienced this before.

Maybe you're not a pychic but it does sound like you are confused about the gift of discerning of spirits as mentioned in the bible (1 Corinthians 12:10). Are you a Christian? I am and I am speaking of one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, that is, God the Holy Spirit.

hi, I've always wondered, how can we test the spirit with out insulting God?... like, if it's really God the one speaking and we try to test it isn't that like questioning God?, and won't He get mad because we don't believe?

Ask the spirit if he believes God has walked the earth in the flesh. If the spirit refuses this, then it is not of God.

Hello Sir, I was counseled by 2 Methodist ministers about the discernment of spirits. I can see 2 colors around humans, a tiny bright light which is like a blow torch-very brilliant. I have spiritually traveled. I feel energy & can discern if it's good or bad. I can hear thoughts -the Holy Spirit & the Devil have voices not thoughts. I was told its to be used to cleanse churches which I have stumbled across a spirit once in church. He was a Civil War soldier who died there. I left him in peace

I am NOT a psychic nor do I agree with this practice because I believe some use familiar spirits and are not aware. I was told to ask our Lord to ask our Heavenly Father to embrace me w/his light of love -then I challenge a spirit to see if they are of God. I could speak to Abe Lincoln if his spirit was in my presence. It's truly amazing & should be covet. I have 17 journals & pics which I am writing a book based on them. I am hopeful it will enlightening people as I have been enlightened.
