"Wik" is great, and "Crimsonland" is really fun in co-op if you have a gamepad for the second player.

Braid is great as well, though my favourite indie game of all time is probably the space adventure game "Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space". But don't forget to check out "Cortex Command" and "Noitu Love 2" as well, and "Love" and "Minecraft" is great if you like mmo.

As for freeware, there's probably nothing better than "Knytt" and "Knytt Stories" if you like adventure games.

I think that's just JForceGame's genre of choice. It's not really representative of all indie games, there's a lot more variety than this video indicates. I'm thinking of making a video about indie games that shows more variety than this one does, similar to my 100 GM games in 10 Minutes video (a video response to this video).

I sort of regret making a video that didn't includ all indie games, and I was thinking about making another one entitled The ACTUAL Best Indie Games...or just rename this one. I only named this one "the best" to get more views. :/

Haha, well it didn't work, you only have 10k views after nearly a year! Well, it's not that bad, but it could be better. It's less likely to get linked to if it only includes games on your site, I think a smarter thing to do would have been to include half of them as Reflexive affiliates and the other half as just great indie games, and include *all* of them on your site, which would attract more hits than just a small collection. We should trade marketing techniques one day!

And Tim and Derek would probably post it because I help them out. I volunteer to review games for their blogs, etc., like when I covered for Derek when he was gone a few weeks ago. The best marketing is often producing the most value for people, helping out, making friends. Indie games are still small enough in audience that doing anything to help the community helps yourself too in the long run.

Uhh Nitromatic, you do realize that that game was in fact was not a indie game. It was released by a Small and somewhat known video game developer Webfoot Technologies which still makes games for PC and consoles today. Some of which are based on major name brands and tv series.

Also, DROD was released back in the mid 90's not as a free game. It wasn't until early 2000's that the games was re-released for free and became open source by Erik Hermansen with Webfoot's permission.
