Actually, you got it a little wrong. He said the tragedy was that the Civil Rights movement didn't focus enough on political and grass roots activities (Kind of Like the Tea Party) to push for more redistributive policies to redress the economic disparities caused by political dispossession of Slavery and Jim Crow. He said the Warren Court was not as radical as some would suggest because they didn't change the constitution, but he never said that was a tragedy or even a problem.

People, we have to wake our friends and family if we haven't done so already. Don't expect the government to teach citizenship, because they won't! They are perpetuating stupid kids that can be led around by the promise of free stuff, rather than freedom. We have to involve our kids in the political, religious, and moral implications of what the Obama administration is doing. They are undermining the constitution at every turn to fit in with a global agenda;

How is this twisted? Obama is giving voice to a common lefty attack on the Constitution. That is that it assumes the people hold natural rights and then spells out what limited powers government has, and lists some things government can never do. It is an attempt to balance the need for some government against the tyranny that naturally occurs from an overbearing one.
