First piece I transcribed aged 17, and all but the scoring of it was accurate, (i didnt use cross stemming staves for the opening) but i was so proud!

Beautiful piece, jsut wish the rest of Einaudis music was as well structured and melodic as this one.

This key is B minor or D major. It blends in between each key like waves blending in between rough and smooth.

I do believe this is the original key... however I may be wrong- this is the best key in my opinion.

D minor... lol it's a key or something. I don't read music, I only sing and I haven't learnt all that stuff, I just do it by ear. I'm sure one of these guys'll be able to help you thought =D

D minor is a key... basically the music is played on certain notes that have a 'sad' sound. If you were talking about D major (or any other major key), the music would sound more 'happy'. Glad you like it (I do too!), maybe you should try to listen to more music like this; it's probably more calming than rap (although of course that's just my opinion!)

... the key is d major you know. obviously you don't know very much about music if you think minors sound sound and majors happy you can make them sound like whatever you want. i happen to be able to play this peiece and can making it sound happy if i make it staccato.

I was actually replying to cmoncas99, who asked what 'd minor' was. Obviously, the 'sad' and 'happy' explanation is very simplified, but how else would you explain major and minor keys to someone with an obviously limited grasp of musical terminology?

By the way, I also happen to able to play this peice, and I would call myself a competent musician, so I would rather you did not make insulting assumptions about my musical knowledge.
