VR6 stands for Inline-V6

Although, it is setup more like an inline. if you were to look at the crank, you'd see 7 main bearings like an inline, and if you were to put all the con rods on the crank, you'd see they don't intersect or interfere with each other, just like a normal inline.

It's more inline than a V ;-) do your research

@sinisterblack You're really going to argue this? The pistons are not inline exactly, they are slightly off. I researched diagrams of the engine because I wanted to know more. It's setup more like an inline, but it's just a narrow angle v6.

@sinisterblack vr6 does not stand for inline v6.. it stands for Vee -Row.. the Vr6 engine uses uneven banks.. it can be called a staggered 6 .. its not like an inline engine just because it has one cylinder head unlike normal V engines which have two. goferboy is right. instead of the conventional 60* dergees of pistons it has either 10.5* degrees or 15* degrees off the crankshaft. do your research

well i map cars and thease filters cost 3 degrees of ignition in warm weather and cause retard when you have heat soak under the bonnet

moving filter to cool part of engine bay fixes this

It's not really hard to fit, just need to shave one of the sides. It's the steering column that's the trick. You need to cut part of the MK4 shaft and weld it onto the MK3 shaft.
