It's quite possible that Qutb had some good points in his book. People are rarely 100% right but they are also rarely 100% wrong. Just remember that no matter which group(s) you belong to, sunni (shiite), arab/black whatever, no matter which group you belong to some "great'" convinving person has written a book describing how terrible / flawed or evil or inferior you are. This is a universal human condition that some will write that the other is evil and must be wiped out.

Many of these violent quotes should be self-evident what the meaning is. The text about violence far outweighs anything about peaceful actions in the Quran. Of course their will be some that say that what they mean is not what they read like. I am not muslim, but i do know in some or many of the seeming violent passages after it will say things like "only if you are attacked first" or things along those lines, i'm not a supporter of the muslim faith at all, but i do sometimes look at their religion to understand what it talks about and why.

First of all, Afghanistan is RIGHT NOW a secular country, Pakistan is a military dictatorship, Saudi Arabia is a failed kingdom that basically believes in what the king decides and not what Allah decided, Iran has more democracy than some of the western countries, however they're shia, but that's besides the fact, none of these countries u listed embody the islamic way of life or implement islamic laws as stated in the Quran or the Hadiths
