I 100% agree with the "size" comments on here... I mean, What the HELL?!?! You're supposed to have breast,curves and a backside for goodnessake.. I know all women back then weren't all size 10's and 12's.. but Bettie Page's name is what's on the product.. I'ts like a dog being cast in a commercial to sell cat food.... Just don't make sense!!! Put the vuluptous bodies on the runway the next time.. It's not that hard to do..
I sell these fab dresses in my store in Missouri. What I find to be true is that a "Bettie" girl doesn't look a certain way, rather she has a certain attitude. These dresses are for all body types. Not every dress works for very girl (thankfully) but there is a dress for every girl.
As a smaller girl, im a bit disheartened at some of these comments. We can't all have curves. I love the clothes and think it's all quite cute. And I have the confidence to say I could rock it out just as hard as a curvy girl. Attitude can make up for size ^_^
Just because not all women have curves doesn't mean that the girls in this show shouldn't have. If these are clothes that Bettie Page herself would wear, it seems to me that the people in charge could have portrayed that. Now, maybe not ALL the girls should have been curvy. But some should have, at least. And you have to remember that every girl in the fucking show was as thin as a rail.
it's nice to see some thinner gals in the clothes so those of us who don't have curves have a better idea of what the clothes will look like on us, but i agree that they needed some curvier models! bombshells are about curves and if you don't have them, you create them. smoke and mirrors, baby. what i disliked the most was how annoyed the models looked. i want girls that look like they are having FUN in fun clothes, not like they are miserable because someone is forcing them to wear the clothes.
It's not a fair trade -- skinny girls are almost ALWAYS in these fashion shows. If there weren't, then celebrities bigger than a size 4 wouldn't be called fat.
I LOVE Bettie Page Clothing. Bought my first pinup dress at the Vegas store a few months ago and I'm hooked. But I must say, these models are way too skinny. The pinup look is all about curves! They don't do these fabulous clothes justice.
Some of the outfits were pretty nice but i think they look too modernized! and the fact that the girls are too skinny does not work for the bettie style at all!
