the oss had a little crossbow like that , bnut it was powered by elastic bands. Have you tried elastic , cuase it might get higher fps?

@datres77 I found it in a Bunnings hardware shop (OZ), if you're in the states,you'll find this stuff at an Osh or Home Depot. I stuffed up the naming, and technically you're looking for a "Coil" and not a spring. Springs push outwards, while Coils pull inward. The wood is cheap pine, but it'd be better to use an oak or poplar block.

yeah dude this is very similar to the crossbow of the time during Vlad the Impaler's reign in Europe. But reload time is slow, unlike the chinese repeating crossbow.

@gvcsmnfhjk Yeah mate. In Australia, crossbows are a prohibited weapon, so I was trying to create something that worked pretty much the same , except I avoid the "crossbow" classification by creating a completely different design.
