I bought a 99 Mustang GT instead for 7000$. I have 10000$ saved up, i maybe couldve got a 98 or a 99 Corvette, but i realized, if anything goes wrong, Im screwed for parts cost. Insurance was the same for me. 210$ a month wether i drove a civic, or a corvette. But yes, one day i will own one :) Maybe when im in my 20s.

I own an 05 c6. there's no trick to getting 30 mpg in a vette cruising on the highway in sixth gear i get 34 mpg and i usually get around 24 in the city except when im accelerating in which i get like 6 and by the way im 17 and my vette is my daily driver and yes i paid for it myself

(id be doing headers intake and tune as well.
yeah it's quite liveable, but you're constantly being reminded that your in a car with power...and quite frankly that pleases me. With the targa off and other than idle you don't really hear it till you put your foot into it. In other words you can drive it around all day short shifting and until you come to a light and idle it is very well mannered, but open her up and watch out!!
