People who insult relatives of dead people at funerals here, will get immediately there ! I could read you some comments which German youngsters wrote here on YT under (dubbed) videos with the Phelphs "family" , "i would beat the shit out of them so that they can go to their heaven" is one of the more harmless ones....

Give them a little credit. Also, by traditional military culture, are they saying that liberals and non-Christians need not apply? Outrageous.
This is no different than black segregation. Just because someone might be offended does not give them the right to discriminate against others based on a limited understanding. This tramples the rights of gays to accommodate the personal views of others - which have no place in the military.
