soo entertaining... some people just need to lighten up. I'm Black or "African-American"..whatever. I took no offense, I knew he was joking b/c he knew the lyrics THEN did a rap of own. He's obviously the class clown lol... My fav line, "I'm gonna persuade you like Oprah persuaded Harpo in The Color Purple" haha lol... Great presentation and a breath of fresh air from the rest of our boring and dry speeches! lol

Not to hate on you or anything, but hip hop music in general is not evil. The evil of hip hop mostly resides in MAINSTREAM music. There are plenty of artists in hip hop that don't promote violence, drugs, sex, hos, jewlery, etc. But other than that, your speech was pretty legit. If I were you, I would avoid that crap they play on the radio. Old Skool hip hop and Underground hip hop is where the real music is at.

There is no credibility or sufficient evidence that all hip hop/rap songs influence negative these negative effects such as drugs and other things. And do not get me wrong, I respect that you have your opinion and wanted to express what you felt and I admire someone who challenges what is popular. But, you have the biggest misconception of this music and culture that you only included your sides of the argument.

I hope no one takes seriously the "arguments" , if you could call them that, presented in this speech. I went into this speech with the motive of entertainment and that was all. Btw, Akon and Usher are probably in my top ten favorite musical artists and were also at the time i did this speech. The topic was choosen so that i could rap at the end, lol.

he spoke of secular rap. which is all and good, he was specific. but. secular rap, is a different genre from hip hop. so i can ignore this quote because it is not helping him make his point. now back to the christian hip hop topic it goes against the first point of his logical deductive argument, they don't promote the use of drugs and actually de-promote sin. I am still unconvinced because most of his points were obviously BS'd. his showmanship was fantastic though!

what about christian hip hop? it is still hip hop. he generalized it and said hip hop so it technically includes this genre. let us not even argue that it is called christian hip hop. this genre makes his entire argument irrelevant. even if he had said secular hip hop, i would not agree with his points because most of them are assumptions, he has not listened to every single hip hop song to speak about it that way and what about kids hip hop? as for his quote from joshua smith
