Do minecarts count as animals?

On the back of the box was Donkey Kong riding Expresso, etc, Diddy Kong Racing is Diddy Kong and a bunch of little animals (such as Conker, etc) racing. Ah who knows

That's not how it works with rights. Nintendo will ALWAYS own the rights to Donkey Kong. They only let Rare use their character, they didn't sell them the rights to him.

I played Banjo Kazooie all the way through and that is a great game, probably my favorite for adventure type games. I never tried the Tooie one.

I was referring to cart racing games, they packed so much into DKR it's amazing. The early Krash (PS1 and 2?) racing games were good too but still outdone by DKR imo.

I think Miyamoto could too if he put as much effort into it as he does Mario or Zelda, but unfortunately I highly doubt that's ever gonna happen (he doesn't seem to like to share credit, or use franchises other people really started, even if he technically made the first character, which, was more of a homage anyways). I don't think DK will ever get a really good game again, or even a non spin-off unless the series gets put in good hands. We can only hope..
