  • gonna miss jack

  • Okay According to the Human Rights Commision of course being a federal Issue. We as Canadians basicly have Noe Right's!!! I had a fall out in a Macs Store and being Dissabled she kicked me out thinking I was Faking my injury!? She won hands down. With out even it going to court.

Now according to them It's Your Mr Harper is protecting dark coloured people who I guess own stores. This lady who owns the store has mental issues and has lost lots of customers for her actions.

  • The sweater abides.

  • Will always be a classic!

  • RIP Jack, if you can hear me up there, I'm a tory, but you were a great man and you earned my respect.

  • F-off marksist....you just want to borrow and spend

  • @robbb661 'marksist' ?? lol, idiot.

  • lol Stephen Harper has the smile you have when you don't want people to see you want to cry

  • HAHA! "where is it, under your sweater?" Harper is a dumbass xD

  • watch?v=zejD0UkMGGY

  • Layton for President

  • @pittsky do you even understand what socialism is? don't be so ignorant

  • @streetxlite

I know exactly what socialism is. Have you taken the time to educate yourself and read the constitution for the NDP? There is some very radical stuff in there.

Layton is a kook who will never, and I mean NEVER, become our Prime Minister.

The only question that remains in the next election is will Harper win a majority or another minority.

  • @pittsky You know what the new definition of socialism is but I doubt you use it in the sense of a planned economy or public ownership of the means of production. If NDP can be fairly called socialist, The Cons can fairly be called fascist.

If you don't like socialism in the new sense of the word, don't use public roads, public schools, public water, public police, public libraries, our healthcare system and if your house is on fire don't call the fire department. They're on a socialist model.

  • @pittsky You don`t even know what socialism is. GTFO of Canada if you don`t want the free health care bitch (yeah, that`s right, health care is an example of socialism). Got any problems?

  • @O0oSorousho0O

Theres a Conservative majority right now. Why would I have any problems?

The real question is....how are YOU doing.

  • @pittsky That was not the point of my comment...

  • @sweiland75 While I like Jack Layton and what the NDP does, I would never want them to run anything...And am currently suffering through NDP leadership in Nova Scotia.

They only look smart because they don't run anything and nobody knows what they preach doesn't work...But it gets proven every time they do run something.

  • LEGEND.

Bitterness oozing from the fingertips of Conservatives here.

  • I love Jack Layton

  • I want them to break out into a fist fight!

  • Harper still has no economic plan. All the other western countries are prepared for a recession in 2009 but Harper has no plan to help ordinary people. The government could fall and we could have another election all because of Harper's incompetence.

  • He doesent have a "flashy" plan like Obama, were a bit more conservative in Canada that way.

(this not to say that the PMO couldnt have done more)

  • @Fmaack Looks like Canada was one of the only major industrialized countries to actually come out of the recession prospering, while most including our biggest partner are suffering.

I don't know what Mr. Harper's plan was, but I applaud him for it.

  • @SuperColossal33

It had nothing to do with Harper and everything to do with his predecessors. Canada's banks were in better order than the US banks or banks in England. Harper did nothing besides hold the status quo.

  • Where is Jack Layton's Mega City Platforms?

    Under government employees sweaters?

What infrastructure support does Toronto have without Federal Government Funding?

Until recently , they couldn't handle the snow , now it's the garbage & the crime. What's next , you can't afford the planes that people are sleeping on , who also need immediate passports made up for them?

Will you bus them to the jobs you create in the GTA free of charge as well?

  • At least Harper is the type of man who knows that he should protect himself while surrounded by a group of freaks who have lied their way into mortgages and expropriations. You people are frauds , you want smoking banned , but you want to sell marijuana. And you wonder why Harper got elected or re-elected? Go home.

  • lolololololol

    Can't believe Harper got re-elected :(

  • Layton + Dion + May >>> Harper

    Eff those right-wing conservative SOBs.

  • hahahahahahah...good one Jack!

  • YA SCREW STEVEN HARPER

  • I love Jack Layton.

  • I would like to put Jack Layton out of his misery. I could see him smoking a joint next to that bitch who says she has children but... [needs the money].

  • He can't even write his own speeches for goodness sake. He is so f***ing cocky!

Hand on the toilet getting ready to flush!!

It has always been about the Liberals or Conservatives and they have done nothing for this country! I think the NDP would be a refreshing change.

  • I think the refreshing change the NDP would make would only be one that contains nothing but a "smell". Here these people are , talking about carbon , kyoto , coal , toxins , tobacco , and alike , while they steal their way through each day via government employee protection plans.

  • What a tragedy for Canadians if Harper is re-elected.

Just an example of this mans twisted thinking.

He said if re- elected he will incarcerate

fourteen year old youths from across Canada but that in QUEBEC he stated the age would be SIXTEEN. Where is the logic in this?

Just one more reason of many why we don't need this man as leader of Canada.

  • owneddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd

  • O SNAP

  • snap

  • He has such a smug look on his face, like he's looking down on all of them condescendingly. He's thinking, "I'm prime minister and I'm going to win this election and there's nothing you can do about it." I wouldn't be surprised if it's rigged.

  • WOW according the CBC Harper won that debate. Anyone who thinks that obviously didn't watch it. He just sat there and took everything thrown at him and I don't mean that in a good way. He didn't even defend himself, he just sat there grinning like a moron. He has no plan at all and didn't give anyone the ability to even debate with him.

  • @XMadeInAmericaX There were 4 people attacking him from all sides, that is not a debate asshole that is a raping.

  • It seems like Harper can say/do whatever he wants and the majority of people will still vote him in. I'm amazed by how many older people continue to vote Conservative when their pensions and quality of living is at stake. Also, many people will only vote based on one issue. It's sad that people think they can't make change happen. That government shouldn't be responsible for everything.

  • Daeven1 , what rock have you been hiding under? The Liberals have created a government that stands up against Canadians , that's not going to earn you any pension other than to pay your bills back to government programs that the Liberals went into debt for control of. Harper is the one figuring out what needs to be done so that people can turn that snowball around. Right now , the government denies that you even worked in Canada without proof.

  • Layton laying the smackdown

  • Jack, He's on the platform, He's the Prime Minister, We already know what his plan is.

  • Harper cracks me up.

First he quits his job because a democracy is too hard and he needs a majority to pass his "platform".

Then instead of going to private sector and getting a job he runs again for his old job in a democracy he just quit while refusing to tell anybody what that platform is or why he quit.

I'm expecting to see Dick Cheney around the corner.

If his platform was so important to have an election call it would have been nice if he even bothered to bring it to a leaders debate.

  • Before the election he wanted to join the Iraq war costing trillions and inflating the dollar so our houses, savings and retirement funds were worth half causing the same problems as the USA but not on such a grand scale.

He wanted privatized health care for years.

With all the trouble in the USA I beleive Harper didn't forget to bring his platform I think his platform was to be just like the USA.

Kinda hard to push that platform when everybody sees your platform imploding on the USA.

  • All I heard last night from Harper was how much money he has been giving away or spending.

Here is a man who had a huge surplus that has been reduced despite the fact they have been making record billions off oil.

If he thinks I'm impressed that he can charge record profits on oil and give the money away to big business he's wrong.

I know where this money is coming from I see (gas surcharge) on all my business receipts these days.

They could care less about taxes these days it's all oil.

  • Layton with the smack down~

  • OOOOOOOOOOOOWNED!!!!! lool

  • As an Albertan, I can only say that Harper is definately the worst choice anyone can make. He's already built a private hospital in his riding that is 1/2 subsidized via taxpayer money. His policies are crippling our economy, workforce, and only serve the portion of workers directly related to the oil industry. Worse, he has people so brainwashed through slogans that they don't bother noticing all the sneaky crap he does.

  • BULLSHIT. Can you show me Harper's policies that are crippling our economy? Who do you think is a better alternative? It's obvious that if you don't have any solutions all you can resort to is petty insults and attacks. That's what the debates showed Canadians. A bunch of whiny, selfish kids.

Your statements make me believe that you're an angry liberal who is pissed off with the fact that a liberal government won't see the light of day in our great province of Alberta. Thank goodness.

  • Simple. In Alberta, the people who work for the oil companies make much better money than anyone else. Everyone else has to struggle to keep up. Employers have to pay more to have less responsible workers and quality of services goes down. This causes seperation between the upper and lower classes. It causes prices to go up, and it makes it harder for poor albertans to survive. Lougheed knew this in the 80's from the first boom. Elizabeth May was the only one who brought this up and she's right.

  • You are confusing the free market with Harper's policies. Harper is letting the market function, as any government should, and as a result the economy in Alberta is doing extremely well and creating jobs. There is such a need for jobs here in Alberta that businesses are importing foreigners (mexicans, etc) to fill the gap. This leads to higher wages in all industries, and this does not create a separation of upper and lower classes because it promotes the middle class (the main economic driver)

  • For a free market to exist, there has to be competition. When you deregulate the utility companies, you have to have more than 1 choice for services. Since they didn't, it allowed a monopoly. Electricity, natural gas, and water prices went up thanks to Klein's bad idea. The economy is doing well because they opened the flood gates and allowed a scary pace to oil production. Now, that's caused a shortage of workers, hence foreign labour, who are underpaid, undertrained, and treated like shit.

  • I agree with you jack, we do need more competition, and in more industries such as telecommunications. However the government is not allowing it and I believe that is wrong.

  • UnkownGuy what's the point of having a good economy if the fucking people cant afford to live in the bloody province. Stop looking at the place from an economic point of view. Please tell me how bringing in immigrants to take low paying jobs really helps the average person. The only reason Alberta is doing good is because the conservatives gave your country away. It has nothing to do with their policies

  • madeinamerica, have you ever been to Alberta? Like any province there are people who do well and people who struggle. There is no difference in Alberta. People are doing just fine and you make it sound like everyone is in poverty. That's simply not the case.

  • You are also wrong about immigrants. They are not TAKING jobs, they are FILLING jobs that no other Canadian is willing to do. Tim Horton's, Dairy Queen, places like that can't find workers. Rather than suffer and close they bring in workers.

  • Canadians aren't willing to take those jobs because they can't afford to live off of them. So instead of trying to increase the wages and benefits of the places to allow Canadians the ability to live off those jobs, they just bring in immigrants and some of them aren't going to expect the standard of living we as Canadians live by. What do you get from this? Nothing. Workers rights go nowhere and increase in wages go nowhere.

  • And yes I have been to Alberta. I live in Saskatchewan and we're quickly turning into your province, a province that is all too willing to sell all of its resources to the first bidder. I never said Albertans are living in poverty. What I meant is that you pay ridiculous prices for everything. Using car insurance as an example.

  • It's privatized and apparently that means that prices will be low due to competition. Then why is it that we here in Sask with public car insurance pay less? Klein sold everything publicly owned and the only reason your province has a surplus is because of oil. It wouldn't matter which party was in power.

  • That's nothing , wait until you see the premiums that home insurance will grab from you when things start to get messed up like the automotive industry is. The Liberals tried to keep us all positive , while disaster was coming right at us like a tidalwave. That , is their position , not ours. They will be living at the highest peak , at the top of the highest hills.

  • owned

  • Harper will end Public Health Care and bring in U.S. style private health care. He tried for years as president as the National Citizens Coalition (right-wing group paid for my big business)

But for know he is playing it cool, wearing sweater vests, etc. But if he gets a 'majority' (40%—some majority) he will have some fun.

  • he more than likely wont do that, dont believe fringe theories

  • Obviously, under Harper's sweater vest. Which is about the only thing I remember from the Conservative campaign.

    Conservative campaign video template:

    Harper wearing sweater vest.

Harper talking, while soft lighting and camera focus on sweater vest.

    Conservative logo splash.

  • Yeah he's talking about the joke the Tories call an election campaign. Harper sits in front of a fireplace wearing a blue sweater talking about how he can relate to the average Canadian. He never talks about what his party is actually going to do. Jack laid it to him.

  • LoL

An American supporting the NDP? Very interesting. WRONG but interesting.

Thanks for the heads up though!

  • The channel is satire...And I guess I'm wrong because you spelled it in capital letters. You're probably one of the morons that feels Harper makes a good leader because he wears a sweater vest a college freshman would wear and can jam out on the piano.

    You're a tard.

  • LoL Give the Conservatives a majority government and then we'll talk. Trust me, Canada will be a far nicer place to be once that happens. Since the American economy is essentially in loo right now, our economy will follow. Would you rather have a leader who is realistically going to guide us through this and make it so that we still have the money at the end of it all or would you rather a yellow-fevered moron who believes in saving the environment and in dumping all our hard earned money into

  • It's a shame Harper hasn't presented a plan yet for the economy, probably because he doesn't have one. Canada being a better country with a majority conservative government? Where the hell did you get that idea. You're kinda talking like an Albertan scotty, make as much money as you possibly can at one time without giving a shit about the future. Yeah we'll see how that plan unfolds. I care about the environment, but I guess that means I'm just a bleeding heart liberal...in the eyes of an idiot.

  • No, I'm a student at the University of Toronto, majoring in Political Science, with 2 part time jobs.

I'm just surprised an American would consider the NDP a good choice.

  • idiotic Arts N' Crafts and socialist propaganda programs which will only benefit the unemployeed, under educated, and lazy people of our society. Don't get me wrong though, the environment is important, but no ones gonna give a fuck about the environment if we ourselves and our society have NO MONEY! I like to keep the money I've worked hard for and not give it to some lazy, unwilling individual who expects the government to take care of them.

    That's why I'm voting Conservative.

  • Like I said you're just sounding like an Albertan. It would seem that your two part time jobs are conflicting with your studies judging by what you're saying. I think you missed the part where I said my channel is satire...I'm a Canadian. Of course in your little narrow minded conservative mind where only YOU and only you matter, everyone who has socialist ideals is lazy good for nothing scum. Of course you have nothing to back this ridiculous claim.

  • Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't it Harper that claimed just a little while ago that our economy is great and is not threatened at all? Of course you're not going to want to give your money away if you think it's going to some ungrateful asshole. But the truth is, it isn't.

  • You're voting conservative because you only care about yourself. Even though you're working two jobs just to afford school, you don't want to help out the guy next to you because it wouldn't benefit you. At least socialists have a conscience and feel that it isn't right to leave someone in the dust just because they were born into a poor family.

  • Yeah pretty much. Why would you want to live in a society where a 16 year old kid working at Burger King is earning the same as a doctor who's been studying and trainings for over 8 years? I'd be pretty pissed if I where the doctor! Ultimately, The ideal government is an Anarchy. We as a society shouldn't need a government to feed and cloth us or protect us from ourselves. We as a society should be able to live and exist on our own without a government at all.

  • A burger flipper making the same as a doctor? I'd call that an extreme exaggeration. Ok let's just get rid of government and all regulation, let's see how nicely that would go.

  • Yes being born into a poor family is terrible. I was born into an middle to upper class family and I'm thankful for it. But i had to work hard to get what I have, so why does no one else think they have to? They got two hands right? Go get a job flipping burgers at Wendy's. Since it's shift work, get two! There are LOTS of jobs out there, but it's up to people to adapt and make it better for themselves and not to sit around and complain and wait for government hand outs to fall into there laps.

  • It's not that easy to get out of a poor family. A person doesn't just get two jobs queue montage, and all of a sudden he's making 70k a year. People aren't going to get anywhere in life with two jobs at burger king and wendy's.

  • Guess who was also behind the positive attitude thrown behind Burger King & Wendy's. They are the same people who were behind McDonalds , who is working , just to keep their doors open. These people are throwing trash out their windows at us , hoping we will pick it up.

  • That's not true. Your stereotype of conservatives are overly dramatic, baseless, and completely false. I might as well accuse all socialists as communist supporters, right? The government should take care of you from cradle to grave, right? Does that sound like you?

Being conservative, in my belief, is promoting individual freedom, personal responsibility, and still care about your neighbor. Just because you are conservative doesn't mean that you don't have a moral compass.

  • Klein screwed us over. Stelmach is screwing us over. Harper is screwing us over. Unknown guy, what's your position on Omar Khadr?

He's Canadian, yet Harper has let the Americans keep him indefinately without a trial. Which way does your moral compass sit on that one? The kid hasn't had a trial, yet most 'conservatives' would let him rot.

Fiscally, i'm much more conservative, but the social values presented by Harper's BS party are nothing more than a bastardized version of the US neocons.

  • Klein screwed us over? You forget that he brought us from extreme deficit to huge surpluses. Albertans love Ralph and if he were to run again he would easily get voted in. Period.

My position on Omar Khadr is to get him home ASAP. It's a travesty what's happening in the name of "war on terror", which is a bullshit war, and I think Harper should bring him home.

I am not a neo-con in any way, like you I'm a fiscal conservative that would like to see less government. Human rights is essential.

  • At least we can partially agree.

Klein was good for the Calgary area. Not so good for the rest of the province.

Klein took an easy way out. He sold out our province's resources for a golf membership. His cuts to health care, secondary education, and social care were terrible and are biting us in the ass now. He didn't understand that the outrageous growth spurt he pushed on us would actually cause problems.

    Conservatives apparently don't understand sustainablility.
