When you put the beer in the freezer it wont freeze normally because of the alcohol. This trick works better with lower % alcohol beers i believe. Once you tap on the cold beer the pressure is lowered. If you have ever taken a chemistry class then you know that pressure and freezing points are directly related. So when the pressure goes down, the freezing point goes down (temperature that the beer will freeze at).

@mazinais31 actully, its works, its called super cooling, if you put a thermometer into the liquit, it would mesure about -10, because of the dissolved carbon dioxide has lowered the melting point of the water. as the gas is releases it forms a nucleation site(where bubbles/ice crystals can form) and it freezes in seconds. he probably had to freeeze a case of beers to find the two that had'nt frozen. it is a difficult trick to perform.
