  • This truck sounds b.a., how is your exhaust setup?

  • holy fuk! sounds sooooo fukin awesome!

  • that sounds great what is the tip 8"

  • Nope, just a 5" straight pipe.

  • Absolutely amazing sound! Great looking trucks too!

    keep posting the videos ;D

  • hey tomgreentwin which truck puts out more power?

i want a cummins and i like the 03 and up 4 door style but i want to make sure you get as much power as the 02's and down

  • a 2003 and up (common rail engine) is easily more powerful than any previous stock cummins and it is very easy to modify them to 5-600 hp. they have way more power potential than a 98.5-02 24v cummins(without p-pump swap) and are on par with the 94-98 12 valves.

  • @7mmremmag1995 wrong. 12 valve and 24 valve are capable of just as much or more power then a newer cr. u can make a huge power differnt with the 94-98 12 valves by fuel mods add a bigger turbo maby valve springs and she will be flying 600 700 hp no problem. yes i will agree its a little easier to plug in a chip and a turbo and be as the same power level

  • @RM250D8rzr a 12 valve is easily the power king as all pulling trucks in the 3.0 class and up are 12 valves. the VP44 24 valve is very power limited to maybe 600 hp on a stock S.O. vp with monster pumps allowing you to gain more. no vp44 truck to my knowledge has ever broke the 1000 hp on fuel only. with nitrous yes. the common rail is easily modified to 600hp and after that it gets harder and the 12 valve really shines but till the 600 mark the common rail and 12 valve are pretty even.

  • With these you can take off in 4th with a 6 speed, No problem. Just don't do it on a daily basis.

  • sounds like our 65 freightliner.

  • that sound gives me bonnor

  • oh and very nice truck.

  • who gives a damn how he shifts. He obviously knows how to take care of his truck and tranny when puling a load. Theres no need to be slamming gears where your hauling but maybe some of you don't know what that is.

  • how loud is that 5in strait pipe when u load it down with 8 tons or so

  • Not sure...kinda lost track of my buddy who owns this truck...he's just too busy to be friends.

  • @cledus211 i pulled a skid steer on a car trailer with straight pipe 4in exhaust and it was insanely loud. nothing like revving it empty or wot empty it is LOUD

  • @cledus211 my buddy has the same truck with 4 inch straight. not bad in the cab but if your standin out side and it goes by under heavy load it hurts is soo loud

  • nice ride got me an o3 six speed

  • if anybody has any advice what year dodge cummins is the best to buy between 97 and 04

  • 03 or 04, they fixed the throttle problems and stuff.

  • i'd say a 90, with a p7100 pump swap, cause, the only body style that i like better than the second gens is the first gens, and a non ic first gen with a p pump? i think i need to go change pants now....

  • ok i dident hear a cluch slip did anyone else?

  • calm down calm down. i have a very simalar truck, i have been driving it for a coupe years and tow and put about 55k miles on it. not every shift is perfect.

when towing the truck reacts different. it does not hold its momentum the same as unloaded.

my suggestion, buy you a cummins and make a video "how to shift perfectly when towing 11K or so"

also, I shift at alot high RPM's when i tow. personal preference i do not like the low rpm drone so i keep the rpms up.

  • Man.... you need a hobby lol. Who cares?

  • im just sayin, its better to not slip ur clutch. no need for that business.

  • as per your suggestion, i might be posting a video on how to perfectly shift your 97 mack ch613 while towing 55k or so. yeah, and i own that truck free and clear.

  • yeah way to slip the clutch on that second shift, sounded real sexy. poor truck, hope you dont do that everytime you shift your lower gears.

  • it was not all that bad, and my guess it was 2nd to 3rd.

  • it wasnt good though, theres no reason to slip the clutch that much going between gears with a truck like that.

  • relax man it aint your truck lets see u driving your truck and make a vid on how to shift perfectly with 15k on it come on lets see it.. he drove fine and i love the slow shifts nice truck man keep it up

  • is that a simi??? sound great

  • damn good sounding cummins, sounds like mine

  • Now swap em...the 01 sound better...

  • shes got power

  • thats for sure

  • It ended to soon! :(

  • I love the sound a Cummins makes.

  • Nick Truck.

  • nice truck

  • MAN I REALLY LIKE THAT GRUNTING SOUND. your truck sounds awesome. I would really like to know your setup for the sound other than pulling another truck. Thanks

  • really lugging her down

  • he needs to put in a 2nd gen manifold cause that sounds really bad.

  • whats a dpf?

  • Diesel Particulate Filter

  • did your friend remove the dpf or did he keep it on

  • Sorry to sound ingorant, but what's a "dpf"?

  • Diesel Particulate Filter. It is part of the new emission system on the newer diesels.

  • Diesel Particulate Filter. It is part of the new emission system on the newer diesels.

  • @tomgreentwin diesel particulate filter. and onlyy the 6.7 has them.

  • You're not ignorant, there's no DPF on anything under an 07.

    @tomgreentwin

  • @tomgreentwin Diesel Particulate Filter

  • @tomgreentwin Diesel particulate filter, only found on 07+6.7 dodge, not on any 5.9's.

its part of the exhaust, it collects soot and burns it off at temperatures about 600*F at the filter, (or around 1000*egt at the guage)

its part of an emissions effort.

  • 03's dont have a DPF only the 07.5 and newer

  • you are correct

  • @iminsane84 This truck didn't have a dpf

  • @iminsane84 didnt have dpf's in 03

  • @iminsane84 DPF's didnt start til 07.5 on the 6.7L cummins this truck never had one

  • @iminsane84 its a diesel particulate filter and the cummins didnt have one until they started using the 6.7

  • @iminsane84 i know this is years old, but 03s don't have a dpf...

  • @iminsane84 2003 dodge trucks never had dpf's

  • your letting the rpms drop to low

  • Yeah, not the best shifting I've heard, but I wasn't driving.

  • Looks like Linden!

  • You got it, Ian...Lobdell Rd., almost there!

    Great to have it back!!

  • lucky i had to have my 99 cummins towed by a 6.slow powerstroke, at least your gettin hauled by a cummins

  • my cousin has a 06 quadcab like this, nice mirrors, i have an 04, we got bullydog and smarty, are u runnin any chips wen not towin obviously

  • he's running without any chip at this time

  • NICE!

  • y was he hauling ur truck

  • Waiting to hear what is up with the trans. Intermittant problem. Hopefully nothing serious, and hopefully covered by warranty.

  • tgt, methinks your tranny in your 2001 Cummins is not shifting good. And also are you driving your 1994 12V Cummins?

  • Me thinks he needs more fuel. LOL

  • He's thinkin' of putting his BullyDog back on and some other mods.

  • nice!
