I had this done to me when I was 16 in my first job, and he paid with a 100 dollar note and then pulled out a shitload of coins onto the counter that he asked me to count. Once I realised he pocketed something like $80 and that he was scamming me there was not much I could do because I was only like 16
Probably the best part about this kind of scam is that if the cashier figures it out, you just apologize, correct the amount, and the cashier assumes it was an "honest mistake". You walk away, free to find a better mark.
I bought a money making software on fastmoneylinks(.com), they only sell products that really work. I now make 60-70 dollars a day by doing nothing, it's not the thousands that were promised but I'm only using this for 4-5 weeks. I doubled my income and I want to share my exerience, I did got ripped of before when I bought a program on a random website which turned out to be a scam, this really sucked. Success to you all :)
If you can see into the drawer like he can, an notice 50's and 100's, and you walked in prepared dollar wise, you can continue to escalate your profits to $50-$75 depending on how ditzy the cashier is...
It is wise to make change for a cashier after she uses the computer to calc. change. to see if she can handle math or not, to scope her out.
If he tried to pull this shit on me he would have come out $20 less than he went in.
i was thinking what if you got someone really dumb so dumb they don't notice the ten dollar bill in the stack of ones she would actually con you ahahaha
while I like ur logic, he told her: I think 10 is in the pile. This is a sign to check to the pile: since all people handling cash have to make sure that the amount of money is correct in exchanges when it's pointed out to them it might be incorrect.
When I worked a register people woudl try this. The solution is you close the register each time and never open the register until you do an equal exchange.
yeah, a guy tried a version of this on me today (a slight variation) The trick that is used is to make a perfect cocktail of urgency and coolness while maintaining control of the situation. I may have fallen for it, too. If I hadn't seen this already. This guy was playing with big bills too 100s and 50s, Tried to rip 50 from me. As soon as I realized his game, I said "Don't try to pull that shit on me" He got all defensive and slithered away. I would have had to pay for the loss. Punk.
When I was a kid and worked in fast food, quite a few creeps tried to pull this on me. Like they think I can't tell they're sleazy. My drawer was always balanced! This scam never worked on me. If someone is dumb enough to fall for this, they outta get smacked-but if someone is enough of an asshole to pull it on someone, they outta get smacked.
DERP, he pocketed a 10, gave her 20, 10 of which was supposedly in exchange for the first 10, and got 20 in return. You following? He gave 20, he got 30.
this does work sometimes. ive done this before a bunch of times way before seeing this. usually at mccdonalds cause young kids work there and usually do the math for maybe a 75 cent gain in change. but yeah people are that dumb
wouldnt work here, no one in shops ever gives you their money until they have counted and sometime checked that the money is ok. I see the idea behind it though.

Never eat at a place called MOM'S, never play cards with a guy named POPS, and you can't cheat an honest man.

Cashiers, the trick is to never do more than one transaction at a time. Close the till and start again. This is a very common scam.
gorehound1313 1 year ago
man this happened to me at work only i ended up giving them an extra fifty. Bull shit
guitarplayer90210 1 year ago
There is a sleight of hand variation to this move
Its where the scammer tries to quickly pocket the larger bill and claim the cashier didn't give the proper amount.
We always had to count out the change like a bank teller so the overhead camera got the transaction.
There are some scammers with balls of steel, I tell ya from what we experienced.

Err... OK... I really don't know how I can possibly respond to something as inane as equating petty theft with slavery, but whatever...

it sounds inane i know
but at the end of the day, scammers never have to work and be productive themselves, they leech off everyone elses work.
they make others work for them, which is similar to slavery apart from they scam from people who have freedom
dietangel 2 years ago
what garbage diet...
sandroeleven 2 years ago
So it's similar to slavery except the people are free. Right, got it.
