Very cool. I still use my 728 as all of the new UMPC's and mobile devices have terrible thumb input. If Linux could run Windows applications I would be interested in modifying the OS. Right now I just wish a new modern Jornada would be created that ran full windows!

They have netbooks you know? Sure a lot more expensive but a lot more versitile. Personally im sticking w/ my MobilePro 900c

Windows CE has less problems though, and doesnt take up a fraction of the memory. It would be nice for it to have the ability to run standard dos and windows aps nativly. Sure there is pocketDOS. But its not as good as just full compatability though.

please can you tell me how did you get gentoo on jornada 720? i know other distros which can be run on it like familiar,jlime,debian... but not gentoo and I would like to have gentoo coz I use it on normal PC and it's just great

I know the 680 is slower than the 720, but you can zoom out in Doom so I think if the window is smaller it should run acceptable

I think you can compile it for linux, but SH3 CPU on a 680 is much slower than ARM on a 720.
