the worst thing to put into a motorcycle crankcase with a wet clutch is synthetic ENGINE oil.. you need proper oil with a friction modifier.. instead of "unleashing the power" you just lost power from clutch slippage..
@MCPYRO2011 I would suggest Any type of ATV oil, it's formulated with friction modifiers to help the clutches lock.. Valvoline makes ATV oil.. Do a search for ATV oil and you'll find some different brands.. Hope this helps.
Hey. Could you make a video of you following through all of the wires and showing the components. I could really use this help. I have a 1985 dr thats missing some electrical and i do not know where some of the other stuff goes. Thanks.
lol with 10w 30 your probably going to have a fucked trike now, newer bikes your okay to put the wrong oil in and have some time to change back to the proper oil. but 20+ year old crank seals will leak with a thinner oil.
One guy says as far as we know its the first oil change, the other says I remember it being a bitch to get back in...assuming he is referring to the oil plug.
Thats not the oil you want to put in there you want 10w-40 atv oil and it cant be energy conserving or it will mess up the clutch since it is a wet clutch
oil change in under 5 min, keep at it you be a pit crew dude

the oil put in was for automobiles not atv. castrol syntec is an energy conserving oil. wich means its not wet cluch compatiable.
