  • Friendly! of course :)

haha you had a look in their shorts....so what do bradford bollocks look like then?

  • Love you Bradford :)

  • @Torontodavid644 is this a competition or a friendly????

  • In 2110 they'd be looking back at 2003 footage.

  • Quality! Show City's present team this film....Now City!!!!!

  • The Mayor and Mayoress in this footage are my Great Great Grandparents, how brilliant to be able to see them on film.

  • @d3ni3e1965 Amazing

  • Yes, but 4-4-2 was something that really came about in the mid-50s.

  • @Deanboy2007 yes in their time they used usually 3-5-2

  • were formations around in them days? or were they just picked up as football developed? :o

  • my name is bradford!bradford H.

  • interesting thats when every footballing side in em days had there glory days since then Gainsborough has been driven into the lowest footy league the non league with clubs like Stratford-upon-Avon this is the time were fans danced through the streets!! even if I am a manc this is still interesting!

  • Good to see that the Edwardian equivalent of the prawn sandwich brigade had to make do with a pitchside bench. Those were the days.

  • lol, if only that were the case at The Emirates.

  • This film bears an uncanny resemblance to ITV's FA Cup coverage.

  • @davmor1973

Ha Ha Ha , about twenty or so years ago one my local tv station sports presenter must of been having a funny phase, he introduced the round-up clip by stating this was a boring game and only the highlights were being shown, this consisted of the team going on and the team coming off, nothing inbetween,. Now thats the sort of coverage only local stations can get away with.

  • Definitely seems like VP to me. Besides that, their first game as a soccer team took place at VP so it has to be!

  • thnx u 2 FOUND IT

  • I wonder if Gainsborough Trinity are still a football club???????????????????

  • They are on level six in the english football pyramid, in Blue Square North.

  • Yes! Good old Gainsborough Trinity are still around lol.. just not a very good / big club, they are in what was the Unibond. Something like that anyway, i dont really take notice of the local teams lol, althouhg i used to play for their U16's

  • Wheres the big hill that should be behind the kop? I can understand one end having houses behind it (the Bradford End) but not the other. Sorry but I'm not convinced this is VP.

  • There isn't a big hill behind the kop now so, I've no idea what you're talking about. There are also houses behind the kop now, take a look next time.

  • no mate i think this is VP, ive just been looking at other pics on the internet,

  • Thats really quite special

  • absolutely fantastic..thanks so much for posting

  • wow. amazing!

  • that's incredible

I think "Now City" should be brought back to the terraces!

  • so was this on television at one point or it is just something for the internet?

  • coooooooooooooool....CTID

  • is that adrian chiles speaking over it?

  • Yes it is, he gets everywhere

  • Amazing looking back at that now compared to how the game is today and our fantastic stadium. CTID

  • so much for modern day technology, this video footage is 100 times better than most of the mobile phone videos that are posted on here and that vid is 103 yrs old. CTID

  • Ah - but you couldn't text with those old movie cameras!

  • Earliest Football Footage Of Bradford City.
